I had overton for the double a round back and was pleasantly surprised and held through the bye last week because of negative BE, so wouldn't be surprised if he spudded it up.

Bought in this tall Paul hack and Webster this week due to negative BE with my thinking the same as yours as it makes it easy to get those Perth guns in 2 weeks but Walter won't be going up much after this.

Someone im versing had Cooper Connolly as Captain this Round, and Billings Emergency and Sams as VC.

Id imagine that is the way best to utilise a VC in a round, to allow one to have a double shot in case Sams did have a bad game in Game 1 of a new round?

Yes that's how you VC loophole

Even better when you can choose the highest between 2 emergencies. For example, with Hardie bowl/bat dpp I can keep him in the bat line to take Chaudhary (E) or move him to bowl line to take Steketee (E).

Webster is a bit better because he has a much larger batting role at 3 and he accumulates runs. Similar to Bancroft where he has a low floor but may not get good SR bonus. That 4fer last round was a fluke but him and Stoinis look like getting 2 overs each every game

Now to watch it all fall apart when my "stars" hacks play tomorrow. Maxi to throw away his wicket again, Stoinis to continue being an overrated potato and Steketee (E) probably not even in the team.

In fact, now that I realise...there is a good chance Steketee, Finch, Chaudhary all don't play this round so I might have to use a boost to avoid a donut

Matt Short gone early, no doubt Darcy Short will play a blinder now when I have him stuck on my batting bench.

Great scores by my trade outs Mujeeb and JFM... the one guy I kinda wanted to keep though was QDK who got out first ball.

Overton decent enough, Short was due a low score and the dud Short was stuck on my bench.

At least I kept JFM and had him on field, QDK, Sutherland and Matt Short were let downs though, all outscored by Darcy Short on the bench.

I might have to look at trading Sutherland out, even with no Finch and Maddinson he still came in too late to get a decent score with the bat.
