got both Short's on field so copped a good one and a dud as expected

Overton a good trade in

Copped plenty of dud scores on field with the likes of MShort 10, Stoinis 12 and Webster 0. Propped up by good single gamers like Maxi, Overton, Chaudhary and DShort....hopefully Philippe joins them

Philippe, Sams (C), Hales and Tanveer to come.

Time to ditch sutherland when you can. Renegades are clueless

They should open with Fraser-McGurk and Sutherland and try and get a huge start. Or have Sutherland at 3 or 4. Either way when De Kock goes, open with Clarke and Fraser-McGurk and have Sutherland in at 3 and Marsh 4 then have your plodders to rebuild the innings if needs be.

Richardson is past it too. Keep him out. Coaching BBL is easy.

If the weather for Melbourne stands true for Tuesday, the necessity of having to get at least 5 Melbourne Stars players in- isnt necessarily, as I mentioned previously. It actually might be wise to look at players who could potentially score higher in the Hobart v Thunder game, as that seems like a high scoring ground for batters. Im not a meteorologist but like I said , you sense your going to have check the weather updates every hour or so for Melbourne but 48 hours out that doesnt look too good, generally speaking for the whole day. Even if one can get a game say with a 1/4 of a game on Tuesday at the MCG, thats when it would be worth including more Stars players.

If we only get: Adelaide, Stars, Hobart and Thunder playing this Round 5, then yeah the double on the Stars players might be a bit of a trap in getting more players thinking that they will play the double.

Genuinely the most frustrating season of any Supercoach I've played.

Between washouts and suspensions it's been damn near impossible.

Capped off by having Faser-McGurk on my bench without the E on him in the previous round.

Wonder what a KFC supercoach prize for being ranked in the Top 111 is worth. Surely its not as simple as a $15 meal
u get a $20 KFC voucher and a cricket pack

That's what i got when i finished 22nd a few years back

Trades from this Round or Next Round from this Youtube clip, they talk about trying to get in McSweeney in or Overton. Ashton Agar possibly a bit ? They talk about Laurie Evans as cash generation........... McSweeney to be fair looks solid for 20+ Runs but I wouldnt look to include him this round for reasons mention above.

Problem for Perth with the double in Rd 6 and 7, which bowlers in Perth do you bring in? Dorff, Tye, Morris or Ashton Agar. Could you possibly play 3 of them?

The breakdown of Perths bowling pretty much in the next 2 games against Adelaide will be something like:

Dorff 8 overs
Tye 8 overs
Richardson 8 overs
Morris 8 overs
Agar 6 overs
Hardie 2 overs

If your bringing Hardie into your team, your banking on him to do with the bat pretty much. I dont think he is getting overs even as captain. I had him as a dump and pump, but now im a bit ooh and ahhing about including him for the Rd 6 and Rd 7 double at a price of $207,700 (increase from $29.4k from earlier in the year)

Been alot of talk about Dan Lawrence tonight for Melbourne Stars.

If he is included, the Youtube podcast from Andrew Langley and the other dude talk about Sam Harper moving down the order. Keep an eye out on matchups but they talk about Sam Harper being shovelled down the order.

You could potentially see a Stars XI Lineup in batting order of something like:

Dan Lawrence, Rogers, Webster, Maxwell, Stoinis, Cartwright, Harper, Imad Wasim, Merlo, Paris, Steketee

Keep an eye out on the lineups 30 minutes before the toss. Sam Harper is less lucrative in the team if he is batting outside that Top 5.

Maxwell as captain has made it pretty clear pre-tournament he is batting top 4. Which might move Beau Webster down the order potentially to number 5. If Beau Webster is batting at 5 or lower-id consider selling him.

If its norm and order at the Stars possibly something like:

Rogers, Harper, Webster, Maxwell, Lawrence, Stoinis, Cartwright, Imad Wasim, Merlo, Paris , Steketee

I know last game was rain affected but the Melbourne Stars have already shown they are willing to shuffle their order and that last game Webster didnt bat Top 5. So yeh definitely keep your eye out on that.

I've already got Maxwell, Webster and Stoinis for the Stars, none of their other players appeal to me all that much though.

I was thinking about replacing Philippe with Harper but if Harper isn't opening and is batting down the order he probably isn't worth it.

If Lawrence is opening he could be worth a shot but it would be a risk when he has only just arrived here and has no recent form to go off.

Philippe is cooked in my book. Wicket keeping batsman are volatile. I don’t think with Sixers facing Brisbane in consecutive rounds , this is the round to bring in him.

Shouldn't affect Harper's scores much.
