Has anyone mulled over the pre season games and looked at the newcomers possible of kicking some goals in round 1?
I'll end up doing my own research within the next week, of coarse will have to wait for teams. I plan on going hard week 1 like a bull out of the gates

I’m just not certain value will be there.

But I think there’a a few “obvious” guys that will get forward time and be around the goals assuming they get named round 1
-Fergus Greene, Alwyn Davey Jnr, Matt Phillipou, Harry Sheezel

Just comes down to value in the odds I guess.

I don’t think Arthur Jones gets a gig for the Dogs round 1 but he looked lively, albeit against lesser opponents.

Will Ashcroft will probably be fed a goal early in the year.

Aside from newcomers, I will be hunting (again just waiting on odds before I lock them in)
-Darcy Fogarty 3-5
-Kade Chandler 1 & 2
-Jamarra 2-4
-James Peatling 1 & 2
-Jack Gunston 2-3

I have spent some time scouring the team boards for unofficial stats and general analysis of the intraclub games and practice matches.

This has led me to conclude that there are some prime candidates to take out the 2023 Gulden-Rachele Medal.

I'll wait for the teams and odds to come out before saying too much more, though.

Liking Geelong into Freo into Brisbane all just to win.

Can really see majority of games possibly going either way. Gonna be an interesting round 1.

Don't understand the price for the Blues, am I missing something? No Lynch for Richmond and the rest of their side is hardly impressive.

50/50 game for me. Who knows which Richmond shows up & how they fare with the new inclusions.

$2.10 for the Blues seems massive overs but maybe I'm just showing short termism from the Tigers last week. I just don't see it with them this year.

Walsh out for the Blues is massive.

Disagree, think Hewett, Kennedy, Cerra and Cripps cover him relatively comfortably against that Tigers midfield.

Walsh was leading there disposals in 2022 and also with average as well.

In 18 games he hit over 25 in every game and 11/18 he went 30+

Sure some mids with their disposals are just accumulators, Walsh is elite.

Fair enough, as I said maybe I'm diminishing Richmond unfairly, just see that Carlton price as pretty big value.

I think its good to have a balance of differing opinions on any game on here. :thumbsu:

Im not looking more deep into what the Blues can replace Walsh with as you mentioned.

Blues are definitely value, if most on here are believing this is a 50:50 game.

Richmond look a reasonable play to me if Lynch plays. They were a game and a half (plus significant %) better team than Carlton last year and have brought in a couple of reasonable mids to cover where they were lacking. Walsh out for Carlton is also a very big out. The B graders aren't picking up his slack

Lynch got through 3/4’s of the pre season match, I’d expect him to be good to go
