Public service anouncement:

After the corruption affected match between the Pies and Crows last week, The LONG SHOT LOUIE LOCK OF THE WEEK(currently up 164.2 units on the year) is in the ashes cricket thread.

Thankyou.
Brothers, I will admit that I, Long Shot Louie of the 164.2 unit profit, had a fair melt after the LOCK was denied by 2 points due to umpiring corruption in Sundays game.

This is not the positive and dynamic mindset of success that has made us so successful this year.
Even the greatest among us are still human beings and can experience lapses that can lead to a quick downfall. The true master is self aware and arrests these lapses when they occur, bouncing straight back to rationality and taking the learnings gladly because he knows that any perceived setback is all a part of the bridge of incidents that leads to ultimate success.

Now, what are the learnings we will take from this.
There are now 4 umpires on the field and they are human beings with their own prejudices, emotions and financial interests. They are deciding games and we have not been giving them anywhere near enough consideration before games when placing our bets.

This board has been on the cutting edge of Punting for a long time, constantly driving our industry forward. However we can always improve and look to get better. It is imperative that we take at least a cursory look over who will be officiating each game.

Starting with tonight’s game:

This coupling has officiated 2 Richmond games this year together for free kick counts of 27-20 and 15-16. A good result for a Richmond side that is constantly ranked at the bottom of the free kick table.

Looks like a decent bloke. Handsome and nice smile. Good physiognomy and strongly built for an ump. Shouldn’t be intimidated by the home crowd. Another tick.

This bloke farken loves the Tigs. Once gave Richmond 9 free kicks inside 50 in a game against St Kilda.

Other things to note are the FARC debacle from the final at the Gabba last year and the fact that Hardwick(hated by umps and AFL) is not there anymore. These are factors which will could also conspire to give Richmond a good run tonight.

For the reasons outlined above, RICHMOND TO GET A BLESSED RUN WITH THE UMPIRES AND WIN H2H@$3.60 IS THE SECOND LONG SHOT LOUIE LOCK OF THE WEEK.
