Saints v Bulldogs last year had 258 Marks in the game. The Saints ended up with a +58 mark differential in that game. Those trio managed to get 43 marks in the game. I sense the Dogs will win, but if the ball is being brought out of the defensive line , from Bulldogs behinds, the Saints will get back into that style of game that helped them win against Freo last week. I think the Bulldogs will have more of the ball in this game. Saints are missing 10 players from their fixture last year against them and alot of them are their bigger players eg Membrey, Max King and now Ryder retired.
Both of these teams were ranked 17th and 18th for Marks conceded in 2022. Bulldogs would on average concede around 40 marks per game, and Saints conceded 49 marks per game.
These two teams were ranked number 2 and number 5 for AFL Fantasy Points averages per game scoring in 2022. I think this game could follow similar pattern to Freo v Saints last week.
