He also has massive campaigner factor. I’m a huge fan. He’s in my AA team.

Despite Sheezel’s high disposal count and fantasy scores I’ve got him below Sinclair. I’ve watched every North and StK match and I believe Sinclair has him on hurt factor. But I’m biased.

From the Saints Sinclair, Wilkie and Wood.l make my team.
Sheezel's hurt factor is significant, the reason he's playing back there and racking the ball up is because he uses it well and his teammates know it, but he's obviously being graded on a curve as a first year player. Won't get in on stats alone.

Cam Zurhaar could be a chance if he keeps his form up. Seems like the kind of player they normally plop at HFF despite playing midfield most of the year, since he's still kicking goals.

I don’t doubt his hurt factor but I’ve got it below Sinclair. Sinclair runs direct through zones and cuts them apart. He’s a big reason why statistically StK are the best team at moving the footy from D50 to F50 notwithstanding it’s a small sample size.

yeah, I'm not disagreeing. Just saying that I think the gushing about Sheezel is largely because he's so good for a first year player.

English gotta be leading the pack right now, until his traditional concussion he's going to inevitably cop in the next month or two. Richards and Bont the other two at the Dogs who'd be in the mix for the squad so far

Sinclair and Daicos are the starting HBF’s atm.

Sheezel would be on the bench though imo.

Small sample size, but Sheezel is around 20% better in just about every department so far comparing their first years.….
Statistically, you’re probably right, but worth noting that Collingwood were a very low possession side last year.
Cheezels is a beauty though, already twice the player JHF is.

Callum Wilkie must be in the AA team.

Chad Warner

Zuhaar isn’t being spoken about like he should. He’s almost going at 20 disposals and 2 goals per game. If the ump pays the free he should have he had 9 shots on goal yesterday.

He’s also attending centre bounces and just generally dominating.
yeah he was like a prime dusty last night, but stronger and a bit less polished

Happy for Sheezel to be named in the rolling. A couple of Stkilda boys putting their names up but I feel that with their soft draw so far it's a little bit misleading. Anyway, from the dees Oliver is the lock on field spot and fingers crossed Steven May locks down the FB. Petracca will probably get in also.

Think Oliver makes the squad so far.

But remains behind a few other midfielders.

Reckon the Saints boys are more than deserving of a spot right now. Don't think their form will last through the year but if it does Wilkie Sinclair and Wood absolutely locked in. Suspect only Wilkie and Sinclair make the team in the end.

I think now that he's chipping in for a goal a game (which was his main criticism) then you could argue he's having a career season (admittedly 3 games in). Also, we all know that when push comes to shove there's just no chance Oliver doesn't make the team. the best contested ball player in the history of afl. he's been great so far in 2023. Yes, he's my display pic so I'm biased but the odds of him making it would be $1.05.

Only injury could stop Oliver making it. He's the best player in the AFL and would be 1st picked by every club.

I know what you mean re. Wood. 90 games of OK versus 4 games of great. But gee he looks a completely different player. If this is his new normal then he is probably the best winger in the AFL right now.
