I do not attack or demean other posters.

I enjoy debating with and learning from other fans.
Yes.
I've noticed plenty of attacking of posters from a few on here of late.

I've been on here for a few years now so I have changed my feelings accordingly about the club etc as time has passed over these 17 years I have posted.
I used to get attacked by some for being too positive. Now I get attacked for being too negative.
I get attacked for my thoughts on Buddy.

Fair go people. It's just an opinion & I have every right to express that opinion without being called a piss weak supporter etc.

Sorry but you need to pull your heads in with this crap if you do it.
If anyone continues with the personal crap to me, then I get personal too, which I have done in the past which is also not on.
Attack the opinion but not the poster.

Having said that, apart from the heat of a game day thread when everyone is emotional about how a game is going, myself included, I see no reason why people get so personal when nothing is happening or because someone thinks a player should retire or be traded etc, etc.

Enjoy Grand Final Day.
Go Bloods.

Agreed. Hope the midfield depth improves the reserves in 2024 so last years draftees can show their abilities as this year injuries and structural deficits were a hindrance.

I was and remain a big Lewy Taylor fan, more as a person who tackled adversity growing up. He may not have had the best body for footy but was brave, smart, got the best out of himself and seemed an uncomplaining team player. Lewy is the sort of fella we should prioritise on our VFL list. Watching him in the Ressies, he helped develop those around him as did Sinkers.

List spots are already tight and we are looking to bring in up to 4 players. This means none of our uncontracted list players will remain. Of those I hope we keep Clarkey as a listed VFL player.

hahaha. Love ya Ted and still enjoy you have kept Sunnybrook Farm. You always present interesting well argued views and it is fun when we agree.

And of course I agree we should debate the opinion and not attack the person.

But that's my choice Bedders.
Hence why I have my own account & not one linked to yours or anyone else.
We all should agree & disagree with each other without any concerns.
Sure we can have a crack in jest, but it's nasty at times & I come here for some downtime away from pressures of everything else in life. Just my thoughts & not meaning to lecture.
I too need to settle down on here as there can be a bit of carry on with certain topics.

My issue is how quick things get off topic.

Jordon and Dow would be an improvement on Stephens and Clarke

Agree.

Am sad about Stephens who I still think will have a pretty decent career ( though he’d be better off at West Coast than the hopeless tin rattlers).

No doubt Jordon and Dow are upgrades on Clarke. Hope they get 100% from themselves as Clarkey did with his very modest level of talent.

Honestly the criticism of our midfield is starting to really fan fiction proportions.

It’s nowhere near as bad as some would have you think. Especially given we haven’t had a consistently quality/fit ruckman for a long time now.

Bonus points for the fan fiction shout out.

Who remembers JPK and Ben McGylnn? A couple of plodders from the Hawks who couldn't get a look in...many would have said when they were traded.

If Jordon and Dow do come here, they are not coming as ressie depth, and the rest is up to them! Great things could happen. Both are coming from strong systems, strong team mates and good coaching. They're moneyball signings.

Not many think so but there is some real potential and/or solid role players in that 25-40 bracket. ZZ, Reid, Friejah, Stevens, Moir, Evans, C Edwards, Morris etc. Reckon in hindsight this draft will surprise.

We've had some retirements but list spots look tight this year with trades and free agents.
I have said that for several months now.

Many are underestimating this draft especially the 20 to 40 range

Our Clearly might even fall out of top 40

Nothing special

I think our strike rate between 25-40 has been pretty decent over the years

Gulden, Chad, McInerney, Rowbottom, McCartin, Corey W, Roberts

Agree the difference between our 2022 midfield and our 2023 midfield is literally a bee’s d@ck.

People I know who are involved in the WAFL reckon Tholstrup will surprise quite a few.

Been playing league WAFL (not colts) all year & is VERY highly rated in the West.

Tholstrup has been very good across all levels and is very versatile which has been our MO too

What do people think Port's future first is worth?

If we all agree the first drop off in quality is before (edit) our first, should we be thinking of hunting a future? I wouldn't give up our first but maybe if we can get 19 for Stephens, thst with our 22 should do it
As was said in the movie the castle "tell em their dreaming".
