You don't have Piggy Oliver ?

I do not. Ironically I'm now glad not to have him, but it's stung all year until now.

Same exact trades for me also, but i only have 921k.
Smith seems okay but when Treloar is back who knows how it is.
Him, Steele or Serong for me.

Yeah, I'm avoiding Smith because of his bye. It's how I'm turning the 'adversity' with Kelly into a win. Doch I reckon is a great bet if someone wanted to go near the R15 bye.

I disagree. He's not a first receiver and Green and Cogs had already maxed out their roles - both playing 80-85% exclusive CBA and then bench. Can't spend more time on the field. If anything, a little more attention & they'll have less support in there.
Traded Merrett in last week purely for those reasons and it worked a treat. You're right but they've both pretty much maxed out their roles already so not a lot to gain from it. Maybe they'll feel like they need to spread for a few more marks to cover for Kelly's run

Currently going

Cincotta -> Wardlaw
Wilmot -> Weddle

Boring but thinking the cash gen.

Wish i could f off Drury... Uwland... Chesser.... ah well

OH FFS I hate this game so much

What are the ******* chances of having not one, but 2 players who have a hammy strain in one week that’s good enough to play through but then potentially miss 4 weeks

I just double downgraded last week and now have to carry that cash again after sideways trading Oliver and Jelly

No Wardlaw, might be ok to get him next week
Definitely no Humphrey now, he will be too expensive next week

FMD I’m averaging more than 1 injury per round for the year now
Was looking for this post.. how did I know you'd have Kelly again :tearsofjoy:

He always gets you in the end

Laird is definitely back. Heat map vs the dogs

And it's legit too. I've seen these via photoshop trickery, but this is real.
Anyway, he may be back, but Brisbane have been hard to score against the last 2 weeks so not expecting anything huge this week.

With GWS woes, Fahey is a lock this week surely.
Doesn't fit my 1st, 2nd or 3rd trade plans..
So much to do, too few trades.
Need to bring in an Oliver & Pedlar replacement with Smith, Butters, Dale, Wardlaw, Humphrey, Fahey, Hobbs & Weddle up for consideration.

Merrett & Wardlaw/Humper every day of the week. Merrett 110 + one of those two 60-65 = 170-175. Sheed 90 + Callaghan 80 = 170

And I'm far more confident in the first half of that equation hitting 170 from here on than the second part. Plus the extra keeper does save a trade down the line, and the rookie will generate more cash over the run. Sure, a little more exposed to variance with the rookies and that's a risk, but heck, Callaghan the wingman at GMHBA this week is a risk!

Yeah good shout.

I'll hold Michalanney another week, probably cop a bit of cash loss but at least he's a reliable player at this stage.

Fahey having the 15 bye sucks even if he does debut. Need more round 14 players of which there's slim pickings

Yeah, Merrett a bit different though with an easy draw, losing the first receivers so could assume a different role within the mids, and had been going at 65% CBAs on 83% TOG so was always going to pick up that 18% CBA time he wasn't getting rotating out of there.

Green goes at 84% CBAs from 86% TOG and Cogs 80% CBAs from 83% TOG. They're not picking up any more CBAs, the upshot is more chance to possess, I guess? But given Kelly's style I don't really think they're competing for the same ball, if anything Kelly's replacement will want to get in tougher a bit more.

I'm planning on Cincotta playing .....call me a hopeless optimist

Wilmot expected to make another $20K this week ....I'll trade him next week, hopefully to Fahey ...who has to get named this week

I've gone Van Rooyen to Wardlaw ....Oliver to Merrett

I'm guessing over the byes there will be no looping of the bench players, as emergencies won't count if we are getting our best 18 scores from the onfield 22?.

If that is the case, then we also need to check we are not line heavy (D, M, R, F) as it could mean the bench players on that line won't get to count. At present I'll be missing an on field 1 x D, 1 x M and 2 x F. All other onfield players play (excl inj and omit). Have bench cover for 3 of the 4 at present and play with 21. I'll have more DPP and 3 trades to ensure I get 22 players that round.

Probably matters more in the first two bye rounds, than the second two, but still possible. For example, in the Round 13 and 14 (2nd and 3rd week), if you have English and Marshall, you won't get access to your bench ruck score unless he's DPP and you can get him to the other position. Rnd 14 is where it could be the most critical if say a McAndrew is still playing.

This will be where getting DPP players will help, and potentially make them more valuable than usual.
Will probably still be looping to try to get the best possible score from all the low scoring rookies on the bench. And there's also the VC loop at play.
