Trades 2023 Fantasy Round 17 Trades

[Pure Grunt]

Got enough cash gen to get in Sic, Parish and English over the next three weeks. The question is, what order.

Trade 1:

JVR to Banks; and
M Johnson to Parish

Trade 2:

Briggs to English; and
JVR to any rook really, likely Maric or Hewett.

Feel like if I get English I'm just copying the rest of the comp and surely Briggs can return to at least an 85-90.

Next week will be Mitchell and Wilmot to Sic and a rook.

Trade 2 gives you better cash position
Briggs > English vs MJ > Parish
Both surely better by 20+ & BE near their ave.
MJ score v Blues vs Parish (calf) / Keays tag (Merrett?)

I’d take one more week of MJ @ BE 28 then roll into premo
Fyfe out could help him.

In a dilemma at present. Do I this week keep my last rookie (D.Williams/S. Mitchell) on the field and upgrade L. Jackson (who is going to bleed cash) to B. Keays or get rid of the rookies now.

Definitely esp if you can loop Mitchell into Williams.
Darcy is beast and that turns Jacko into a Lobb.

DC to cogs, Lloyd to HH. Next week day to Sicily

It's essentially hh, cogs and Sicily vs sheezel, day an Sicil
Also means if Sheldrick goes well I can loop on for DC

Need someone to talk me out of Himmelberg. Still priced at 70 and reckon he can do a repeat of last year where he averaged 100 odd after making the switch. Granted there's less junk now under Kingsley but he's taking most of the kick ins, has had a 150 in the same role plus the DEF/FWD dpp

Would be trading Day to him which gives me the coin for spud Lloyd to Serong. Tough as Day has North then us in a few weeks.. although that was a pathetic display yesterday I think he'll come good in those. At worst it should break even in points right? That would still make it a decent move. HH would be my 2nd worst on field after Sheldrick

I wont talk you out of it.. instead of a rookie downgrade to get English, im thinking ill now swap Redman who will bleed cash the next 2 weeks unless he goes huge which is highly unlikely, to himmelberg who is going 5-10 points better than him anyway.

Loose plan is to then get Berg up to Sicily in 2 weeks

I’m holding DC, one poor score looks bad but BE 91 surely leaks little - he’s on trial though
Also going Lloyd to HH & prob Sic next week
Think HH/Cogs v Sheez/Day will be both around 190-200
Less peaks and troughs with HH/Cogs

With the Dunks news, I have my third idea for a trade plan, but this one is my matchup friendly idea



I’ve gone back down the Luggage route as his value will increase with Dunks likely out and he’ll be the number 2 mid in the Lions setup v the Eagles

I can only go up to Toby downwards with the money left, but GWS have the Hawks this week and with no Sic, Toby could kick a bag on them. He’s been scoring consistently, since round 10 he’s scored 2, 4, 3, 3, 4 and 2 goals, so he’s getting the opportunities.

So my two ideas are now this one and the Parish/Berg one. Will choose one of them in the end

With the way Bailey Williams has been playing for the Eagles lately compared to his first half of the year, he would have been the perfect trade in if he was RUC/FWD, but he could be a starting pick for next year if he keeps this up, or an adventrous late season downgrade this season

Yeah, have followed him a bit as I have him in the Draft league - he's just getting better and better, with his around ground work now on the up.

I’ve got Jackson and have Dunks and Short as injuries. I feel that I have to hold Jacko for one more and hope he goes back to the ideal role and just boot him next week for Berg and upgrade a defender.

Cant even move Sheldrick to the FWD bench to loop Dunks as i have too many FWD rookies so he’s stuck in the mids.

Briggs I can understand people getting off him ... he was a money maker and now those lucky sobs are executing a double upgrade.

Hmm, not sure what to make of Dunkley.

Feels like most teams are complete so early that trading him out is a no brainer missing 1/8 minimum of games remaining. Given the alternative is trade a Day or Cameron who are semi premiums anyway.

But with Sheldrick/Johnson cover, holding us a good play too if it’s only a one weeker.

I think I’ll at the very least hold and see what Sheldrick serves up. I think I should be able to configure it so that even if Sheldrick is stinky, I can take the better of Dev Robertson or Wilmot’s score for him too, so 1/3 shouldn’t be too bad.

But the sideways trade does feel like the smart play unless the cover goes 85-90+ - trades just aren’t worth as much now. For me it’d probably just be straight to Bont

I’ll have Sheldrick and Windhager as my F6/7 this week, so the latter will be covering for Dunks !!
