Makes Ryan a very nice option, as he’ll have no one to take his cheapies, other than Cox. Tossing up between Ryan and Duggan so it’s hard to spilt them. Duggan has been more consistent but Ryan has the big spike scores but less consistency

Popping in here for the first time in a while.

Like most of you I'm scraping the barrel for bargain picks. There are a few guys who I haven't watched too closely and wondered if anyone has thoughts:
  • Mitch Hinge: I know bugger all about him but he looked good last week and has been scoring. What is he??
  • Kedean Coleman: We know he can have the ceiling games but hasn't looked great so far. Cheap though.
  • Liam Henry: Scored about 20 points in the first couple of minutes last week, then faded. Still worth a look?
  • George Hewett: Price is way down due to sub games, but could we do it if he's named on field? Has a very high breakeven still, so riskier in a sense than the other guys listed here.
In terms of guys I have been watching, Gryan Miers could be a flyer for a week or two. Not a great floor, but he's been getting his tank up and seems to be in good form.

Here it comes after Dunks last week. Trade him to Serong (disgraceful decision to be fair) and now bloody Sheldrick injured too

Can still get Sic but have to hold Ashcroft and upgrade Sheldrick instead which is annoying. What's the bet Ash hangs on right until the f"n end

Crows don't really have a main kick in guy, but lately Hinge seems to take the most out of all the guys back there. The last 3 games where he's played well, Murray was injured, Butts came off concussed and Butts missed subsequent game. This meant he may have had a taller opponent to deal with. Either way, he scored well. He has a high kick to handball ratio, so players often pass to him to kick it. I considered him at the start of the year, but he's a 60-80 kind of guy.

Was going to go Matt Johnson to Cooper Harvey and Seamus Mitchell to Sicily

but will now go:

Sheldrick to Banks and Seamus Mitchell to Sicily.

Can't afford Harvey with Sheldrick downgrade and Mitchell upgrade.
Will keep Serong and use him as a loop in the midfield as losing Sheldrick means I'm stuck with only 6 forwards.

EDIT: just realised I can't loop with Serong as he plays early in the week and all my bench rookies play late. oh well.

Don't know, are you confusing the 2 Warner's?

Nah it’s the other Warner not named Chad.

I think based on the team picked mills has to play through the middle

I appreciate the info! I was struck by how good he looked last week, and then saw he'd had those good few weeks too. I'm looking at someone who I can potentially chuck the E on, so the Saturday night game might be a stretch for me, but still tempting.

Maybe Sam Flanders? low BE and scored well recently (lower score against Port which is a given).

Was also considering Hinge too, as I need someone to cover Serong for a week but he might be too steep of a price.

Gonna run the gauntlet with my Duggan/Hough trade in pairing. amazingjoshy did say that Hurn would return so the cheapie factor may be less for Hough, but hopefully with the Tigs not very tall forward line he can at least eke out a 60 odd which would suffice for Serong cover for a week (I’ll be playing him in the mids) Or maybe Hurn the old fossil can share the pill around lol.

My "complete" team going to be

Dawson Daicos Doch Sic Sinclair Stew
Bont Zez Laird Bray Serong Green Steele Mills/Touk
English Marsh
Taranto * Gulden Rozee Butters Keays

* either Dunks if he's good in 2 weeks or Cogs if not
Keen to hear how many of the same people have. Expect most will only have a few differences everyone seems to be working towards the same sort of goal

For me: Defence pretty much the same, though I'm eyeing off Stewart out for next week at the Gabba if I'm in a position to do that. Think he is borderline 6th best def at present, but arguably Luke Ryan is ahead of him now with Young out for a few weeks. The top 5 defs are set, everyone is going to want all of them and two of them are basically full-time guns mids now.

Mids - Think there is potential for real variation here which makes things very interesting. We don't have an absolute standout #1 mid like in previous years, and only 2 pure mids are averaging over 110 for the season - Bont and Merrett (plus Clarry who's injured). The rest there is a genuine debate to be had over who scores most from here. e.g. Laird on 33 at half-time last week didn't exactly fill me with confidence.

Rucks - yep, set and forget

Fwds - TT, Gulden, Rozee clear top 3 then Dunks in there too when he's back. The last two spots are debatable - Butters had a mid-year purple patch but is prone to quiet weeks, and Keays is spending a lot of time forward. I really rate Nick Martin and Caleb Daniel and no one has them. Bulldogs have a great fixture coming up so Macrae should be right up there too.

Yep, had him in draft mid season and dropped too many unacceptable scores:

I have 5 of that back 6 already. Day my other and he will get to Sic next week I think. Although looking at his BE I might need to try get there sooner.

Mids a bit different - I have Merrett, Brayshaw, Laird, Trac, Green, Brouch, Neale atm with Mills/Steele in this week. Will try and get one up to Bont. But wary of Touk, spent a decent chunk at hff on the weekend. One to watch.

Same rucks

I currently have Sheezel and HH down forward, they will get me back to Dunks and then uncertain on other. Few options to run at F6.

I might trade him in for my bench where Sheldrick has prematurely departed.
Just gotta wait and see if Binns is named.
Soldo and Bowes offer some good value this week.
Agree with Bowes. Hard to get a line on Soldo. Just the one AFL game this season. Last season all his games were with Nankervis too. He had a 72 this season during Nanks 5 week absence, but Ryan in. We've been opting for Ryan with Miller as a back up.

I would trade Sheldrick over MJ given it sounds like this ankle injury could be multiple weeks. I don't know what rookies you are fielding this week but MJ without Serong might be one of the best to field this week.

With these trades no rookies on field this week.

Weakest players are Day @ D6, Mills @ M8 and then Sheezel HH at F5&6

Don’t even think I would be able to loop much as my only bench players not playing are both in defense

57% TOG for that 72

One I hadn't thought of and am tempted. Solo ruck v Williams first up is basically guaranteed points

The injury is the risk imo. Huge sub out chance, isn't it the sane injury that shut down Fyfe? Can flare up at any second

Eagles, Hawks then Dees over the three weeks. BE of approx 35.

Reckon he's realistically a fieldable play only if Hawks name a single ruck again and there's no Ryan on the Tigger's team sheet.

Easiest play this week is GCS defenders

If atkins keeps his role from last week with taking the kickouts and floating in defence, he'll def go 100+... something to consider

Yay, I get to hold sheez when he's tagged to a 25
