So all injury reports on Darcy are he will miss atleast this week. Doesn't really help much, I'm not getting Jackson if it's only for a week 🤣 surely we find out more soon.

Who scores best for the rest of the year, leaning towards Steele solely for the matchups.

Miller, Steele or LDU.

I reckon Miller. We've only got a 1 game sample on Steele being back to his best (the 146 among a 104, 87 and 106) in a year of otherwise clear mediocrity.

Touk's already hitting good numbers on return from injury and doesn't have the record of mediocrity to overcome that Steele does.

That said, there's a reality where both are top 8 and Miller's breakeven is such that you can wait another week.

Rethinking the approach this week. Have been ignoring the Briggs issue for the last couple of weeks because it was a big step up to Marshall. Gawn presents an opportunity at low cost.

Briggs - Gawn
Wardlaw - Flanders

Finally rookie free (not counting the two rookies who are outscoring some of my "premiums")

Next week will take whoever does worse out of the cheap "premiums" (Mills/HH/etc) up to Bont/Zerrett/Touk

One to consider for those with more luxury trades than me, Bailey Scott is priced at 797k. L3 avg 113, L5 avg 103. Could be an option if you're looking to get off a Day/Sheezel/HH type

Would one take the risk on Scott, when LDU is cheaper?
Fair point. I was more thinking for a defender option as the D5/D6 slots seem a bit of a raffle atm. Depends on your structure I guess. LDU should score well if he doesn't cop a tag

I’m considering him as a replacement for Cerra if he misses this week. He’s one of the few for North putting in 100% each week. Think he’s playing a mix of HB and Wing

I'm currently going with Scott. Structure simply doesn't allow for another MID only player. Have also run out of patience with Macrae.

This will leave me with Sheezel and Ashcroft as my only "rookies" onfield.

Early week trades always seem to be better than what I go with.
These early week trades might be overkill though when it was last week we needed the bench cover (surely carnage like that is a 1 in 100 year event)

Both ins just go to bench or loop if possible.
My plan is to have 1 decent emergency in def/mid/fwd to loop and the other a red dot/DPP/late game player to enable some crafty loops.

Luke Jackson with Darcy out for at least 2 feels like it really should be a play, right?

Sydney (McLean or Ladhams) into Geelong (Stanley/Blicavs) is a solid run although those guys can at least keep up with him around the ground.

In the 5 games he's led the ruck (last year v Brisbane and this year the 2 Darcy injury games & the 2 he missed (maybe shouldn't count this week in there, but am) he's scored 125 (67%), 108 (73%), 119 (92%), 94 (78%), 88 (45%) for a 5 game average of 107.

Come at me, Round 19. Make me change my mind...
Okay. I admit it. I've already wilted like a wet lettuce.

Gives me the luxury of Hobbs as fwd emergency to possibly loop with Windy.
Next week will be Hobbs out to Dunks (or LDU if he he drops a stinker due to a Windy tag this week)

Yeah I like touk the most butttt grabbing Steele due to the be, mills to touk next week. Touk harder run but don't think that stops him.

Bingo, I'm locking him in for hh.

And he’ll likely be the No 1 ruck anyway, as Kuek is injured and Reidy ain’t ready, so it’ll probably be the Jacko/Treacy pairing again
