as a nation we've prided ourselves on toughness and grit to make up for skill shortcomings. However, the nation has improved a hell of a lot.How bad are Australian junior coaches for shooting. Great assists and defence but shooting for sht.

Just finished watching. Pretty disappointing result. Plenty of blame to go around.
Thought giddey was terrible in the first half. Just careless.
Xavier Cooks and Green were keeping us in it with their defensive efforts.
Schroder cooking because we have no rim deterrent sitting back there.

There’s no way Thybulle, Exum, Ingles, Daniels, Green are riding the pine in a game that close. No way. Daniel and Green can defend. Instead play NBL calibre front court? Weird
Cooks is well out of his depth trying to defend. Giddey needed protection, got none.
One of the most skilful squads ever remembered tbh, and can’t even make it work.

Something that's probably gone under the radar - we really stuffed up defending that side out play at the end. Green went for the steal, missed and that was that. No one else around to foul or contest the lay up.
And on the Giddey thing, he was already on the floor by the time the buzzer sounded, so the refs decided that Thiess didn't foul him on the shot or the landing. I don't know that it was, I'm not gonna blame the refs, but it's amazing that there's only been the one angle shown.

heck, the mighty Latvians just knocked off the frogs.
Bizarre that our main strength is depth in lengthy, active, switchable defending and we didn’t rotate them at all in the last.
This team needs to be big minutes for Mills and Giddey but everyone else should be sharing the floor to keep the defenders as fresh as possible.
Also I’m pro Kay but not sure he should be starting after his poor tournament.
