Canada have less NBA players at this World Cup compared to Australia, but the quality of their NBA players are better than Australias.

Canada win over France tonight, and the way they did it means they have to be in the conversation to win the Gold Medal. A very strong team defensively with: Brooks, Olynyk, Fort, Dwight Powell and do realise that Barrett didnt have his best game against France.

More than in the conversation, they're 2nd favorites (Australia 3rd).

Watched a fair bit of Canada vs France, the cannucks are pretty scary. Makes our win vs France in the warmups look not quite as impressive.

Shane Heal is a flog, but he was an absolute stud at International Level ! Probably have to go with Hammer.

Into this current line up, yep.

The rebounding, rim protection and passing from the elbow to the lethal cutters we have, would make us much harder to handle.

It's Gaze vs Mills, one would have to come off the bench. Prime Gaze vs prime Mills is interesting but you'd take peak Gaze ahead of 35 year old Patty. Patty's ability to change direction when the defence is backpedalling is great and would be an awesome 6th man with Gaze starting.

Prime Bogut is something this team doesn't have, someone to lock the opposition big down and provide an inside presence, hard to go past that.

Simmons is the perfect fit for this team in that they're all long, run a million miles an hour, are spectacular in an open game and can't shoot, no one under 35 is a reliable outside shot in this team.

But I'd take Bogut, we are going to miss that size against some of the bigger bodies, can we run them off the court though?

Canada are very polite. The French are stereotypical surrenderers.
