Marsh and Warner struggled in that opening 10 overs and that for me was where the game was lost tonight. I dont think it was through lack of intent either. I also wouldnt be surprised if Mitch Marsh doesnt make it through to the next 2027 World Cup. This is his time and one and only time.

Sort of but we lost it in the field. Old saying catches win matches.
This team deserves everything it gets picking proven spuds like Stoinis, has-beens like Warner and Maxwell, and two selfish accumulators like Smith and Labuschagne in the same side to bog down our innings time and time again.
Time to put a broom through the place and build a team from scratch. Make Head captain and break up the boys club.

Agree on Head being captain would also give the test side options. Cummins as captain is an issue

The intensity in the field was a disgrace especially after winning the toss and bowling first.
We lack an identity and game plan in ODIs. We just pick bits and pieces all rounders that are okay at both but not elite at either.
McDonald should be punted from the white ball stuff and bring in a specialist white ball coach similar to England.

The Australian team looks tired, flat and uninspired.
Seemed like one of the worst performances by an Australian team in a while. Not just the scoreline but we didn't look like we cared.
I have always thought Stoinis is overated but I don't see how he makes the team. Carey needs to come back in for Inglis.

Damn, we got smashed in the end, two pretty big losses to start now. The side just looks uninspiring, not a lot of youth.

grade cricketer pod went through the schedule, they've been on the road for ages with massive series throughout, no wonder they're tired.
Good death bowling, but other than that, not much polish to that turd of a performance. Can basically only drop one from here if we want to progress, I find it highly unlikely that we are beating NZ or England in this type of form, so there goes the tournament.
