Ugly reading from a national prospects POV. Philippe hasn't set the world on fire when he has played at international level so far but outside of the guys already in the team in Head and Green he would be about the only one from that list that I look at and go he might have the talent to step up at some stage moving forward.
Yeah barely any of those names have come through to form your B or C squads when playing bilaterals

It's fine, we don't rate white ball internationals anymore - CA cares about home tests and BBL. That's it.

There's a reasonable chance this could be the last 50 over World Cup (even with the next one booked in), so enjoy it while you can.

Do CA care about home tests as a whole or home tests against India and England only?

We will bash up Pakistan & Windies at home.

And the bosses in CA will think all is well again.

I mean test side has been decent lately, our best run of form since the Clarke era but one day side fell behind best sides a long long time ago.

I saw somebody saying we underperformed in 19 world cup but that's not true we were an ordinary side leading into that but somehow we made semi so this idea that the four years leading up to wc don't really matter as Australia will figure it out on night continued but it's finally time to pay price for that thinking.

His output in terms of runs was decent but his strike rate was 131.63, which is below his career IPL strike rate of 139.92.
A lot of chatter during the season however, batting for runs rather than the team.
Clearly came good.

I thought we were a much better side playing our B Team in SA. Bowling your Test Team is not the go now in the short form game, especially in India. The pressure of bowling and captaincy has got to Cummins. Up to the start of this year is was working really well, bowling well, leading well, but the pressure of two huge Test Series plus the ODI World Cup have disintegrated his captaincy before our eyes and hurting his bowling big time. Remember the same happening to Botham in 1981. Captained poorly, bowled and batted terribly. Soon as he quit the captaincy after 2 Tests everything changed instantly as we saw. Same needs to happen with Cummins now.

I agree Jim and he should not even be playing anyway in Indian conditions. Should be dropped for a specialist spinner

If he cannot take Australia to the semi finals he should be dropped ASAP ...happened to Tubby Taylor he was dropped for S Waugh in the ODI format

Cummins should just concentrate solely on test cricket

I'm assuming it's Top 4 finals?

Probably still make it.

Definitely beat Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Netherlands

Should beat Pakistan and Sri Lanka

So imo need to beat one of NZ and England to make it.

6-3 should be close to 4th Place.
Going to beat the 2 should beats so yea Australia make the Finals imo
