The problem is the offense. After they gifted us the botched onside kick, we should have been able to at least string together 3 or 4 back to back first downs. Just pathetic o calls, way underusing Swift and ridiculous obsession with Gainwell. If it wasn't for Jake Elliott we wouldn't be playing playoffs at all.

Yes they messed up that drive, however the defence allowed a TD every single drive in 2nd half, along with a 4th down conversion with 4 yds to go and a 2 point conversion. They literally did not make 1 play the entire 2nd half. That is crazy for an entire defence. How can that be considered nfl calibre?

It isn't the talent, it is the coaching. The decision to appoint Patricia as DC was always going to lead to this result on D.

Ravens put up 56 versus the Dolphins in the battle for top seed. Dolphins had few answers defensively and the offence struggled without Waddle taking heat away from Hill.

Outside of the DL and Slay, is the talent on D all that good though?
Yes, Reed is really good, and the young linebackers should have been able to hold their own against a team like the Cards. The soft secondary zone coverage and the failure to get proper structure on the DL is what is hurting us, and those are both coaching driven.

Reed? As in Blankenship?

Have the Eagles been so deprived of good safety play since Dawkins that replacement level is considered good?

OK you are just coming at me cause I dared to hate on the Ravens earlier. Reed is quite talented as is Slay and the Dline has undeniable talent. All thrown away by abysmal coaching by the D coaches.

In the entire history of the NFL this is only the 9th time Steelers have played in Seattle.
Steelers are 1-7 in those games.

Last game was in 2015.

Games played at venues including Kingdome, Husky Stadium and now Lumen Field.
Doesn't matter where it is in Seattle though, Steelers can't seem to win.

It was during the 1982 game that the Steelers found out that Mrs Rooney (wife of Art Rooney) had passed away.

And in the aftermath of the 1981 debut game, the Steelers plane got fogged in so they had to stay overnight. So the Pitt players go to a games arcade to blow off a bit of steam. It has a "test your strength" punching bag machine thingy, so Cliff Stoudt takes a swing at it... misses the bag, hits the stanchion and breaks his arm.

Hopefully for the Steelers QBs no fog after the game today...

When I fell back asleep this morning the 9ers were tied at 10-10 and Philly was up 14-3, so a tad surprised to see we clinched top spot in the NFC.

Thanks Cards for the 1 seed, they might have a trash record, but they can run the ball and make you work.

The Ravens are making a mess with everyone right now, might have to hope for playoff Lamar to return 🤣
