The Cleveland Plain Dealer’s Mary Kay Cabot reports there is no structural damage to Deshaun Watson’s shoulder.
Cabot said Thursday on the Pat McAfee Show that Watson has a bruised rotator cuff — an injury that could take up to six weeks to fully heal. Watson has been medically cleared by the Browns staff to return to the field. Watson, who did not practice Wednesday, is iffy to suit up against the 49ers in Week 6. The Browns could be forced to start journeyman QB PJ Walker against San Francisco, effectively destroying fantasy value for every fantasy-relevant Browns player this week.

Watson is once again watching from the sideline despite being medically cleared by doctors and his shoulder showing no structural damage. The Browns’ $230 million man appears to be on track to miss his second consecutive game and has thrown for just 678-4-2 in his first three games. PJ Walker took first team reps with the Browns on Thursday and is expected to start if Watson opts to sit out Week 6.

Dont think its just the Niners, could be any side they are playing this week and I think he'd sit out, just think hes got the Browns by the balls so can do whatever he likes. Was a Matt Rhule pick, under his philosophy of "get athletic guys and teach them how to play" ... got all the tools and a nice highlights package from college (some big hits), but struggles to do the basics, whiffs on tackles etc. Never really looked like becoming a player with us
