Walsh never said he had family issues prior to us recruiting him. You’re making that up. He has a sick family member, it’s a new situation. He wouldn’t have taken the job if he thought the situation would occur, he’s a very smart man.
Pretty sure I remember when we hired him that it was said we had to lure him out of retirement and that it was not going to be a long term appointment?

Trout = Kiss of Death
Our drafting over his tenture was woeful.

You won’t be saying that again lad

Definitely lured him out of retirement but I'm not so sure it was anything but a long term deal. Ross probably wouldn't have come to us if that was the case IMO.

Punters are the worst paid on the roster but still $1 million plus US a year.

Know his mum from the footy, went to college on a sports scholarship ( Auburn) and didn't care if he made NFL only wanted his business degree paid for..
Got the nod from the Eagles and here he is.

He was at Detroit before Philly

I beg to differ they have everything to do with training loads and the type of training they are doing.

We havent played a game yet and have 1/3 of the list on the side lines? That smells poor management, the bad luck Saints doesnt wash in a professional environment.

I understand Lyon was eager to lift the training regime standards, but as far as conditioning readiness goes it looks like they have gone far too early!
That is true but we’ve also had (reportedly) 23 blokes run PB’s in their time trials.
So it’s a balance. I’d rather them get conditioned and super fit, then be completely injury free but can’t run out games.
Most of the ones on modified programs I.e. Battle, Billings, Coffield, Gresham etc are all because of injuries sustained late in the year last year. King’s was just an unfortunate mishap. And Hayes, Allison and Campbell could also be put down to either bad luck or too heavy loads. So I don’t think it’s as dire as some are making out.

Where is it said that he has a sick family member?
The quote is only leaving family reasons

He's on 2.5m over 3 years. He's a punter, bit different to a kicker. He's injured anyway and won't play in the Superbowl.
Still gets a ring if Jaelan and crew get it done though.

Could retire at 30 with a couple mil in the bank, degree paid for from a top US college and a superbowl ring (or could go around for 10 more years and retire with tens of mil in the bank).

Smart move from the big boot.
