Training 2023 Pre Season

I reckon whoever was playing seniors last season will most likely be in the team for Rnd 1 if not injured, and one or two of the new recruits in the mix.

all done via pm now to preserve our frail egos
Surely this was a pisstake right? I've loved all of the training reports throughout oreseason, particularly being located in regional Victoria. It's something I've appreciated and made me feel really engaged with my club.

What's happened for it to get moved to PMs?

They're not. He's taking the piss because a few do the PMs. I think it's more that people aren't heading down at the moment.

Sorry - yes, it was a pisstake
I guess with praccy matches the last 2 weeks the training sessions have been of less interest. I certainly haven't ventured down for a look for a couple of weeks.

I like Leo too hasn't been given a go IMO
And Bytel has?
In that Dons game he got 19 possessions and 76 supercoach points. If he did that every week we'd be happy wouldn't we?

Apologies I didn't mean to say you're writing him off, what I mean is we sometimes draw conclusions on players without looking at their potential to improve or what value they bring to the team. I think Bytel might be another example, we tend to always focus on his flaws but what can he bring to the team? Byrnes another. I'm looking forward to seeing what we can extract from some of these types this year.

Played 7 games in 2021.
You could have named your price on a bet and I never would have got near that number…!
I recall one game where he came on late and had some nice (cheap) touches across half back in a game we had sown up, but that’s absolutely it.
Assume not much else happened in the other six

Know Seb Ross can be a whipping boy at times (maybe im wrong) but seems the type ROSS would love

but his calf was that just a recent 2-3 week thing, how much time has he missed of PS training? Or has he still done all the training minus the last 2-3 weeks?

Also i assume he will mainly be onball again with Zak Jones injured and spend small stints on a wing which seem to be occupied mainly by Hill, H.Clark and Wood as the 3 wingers

Any inside info would help, hope this is ok here

Ross’s calf is only sore from the effort of lugging around his truly Herculean phallus…

It would tax any man dragging that weight around.

He will be more optimistic once he is back to full training.
My outlook for the season , is well suffer a few early loses but by the halfway mark of the season I fully expect the team will be firing on all cylinders and cruise into the 8.
Big factors will be the return of King and Marshall lifting our midfield to become competitive.
If the team improves just 10% we will be in the 8 , we only have to weather the storm at the start of the season and things should work out fine - no way I'm I expecting us to go backwards with so many players coming of age and that is not even considering the improvement of Milera , Windhager and Owens and hopefully Lyon can get Hill to show his best which will only lift all around him.

Re: Leo in 2021.

I remember one thing, he got a loose ball at half back and went into the corridor with a 35 m dart that picked out the target like threading
the eye of a needle. He did that once. At the time I thought "Hmmmmmm .......".

That's all I remember.
