How much would it be to post a lapel pin??
Could probably send it as a letter so not much. But when running a business sending thousands of packages there are other things to consider.

They are most likely relying on the computer system to tell them when a order is ready. And that unlikely takes into account the different sizes of small normal mail items.

I don't really want to complain after such a sensational premiership, but it beggars belief that the club wouldn't have anticipated the Grand Final T-shirt and cap worn by the players after the game, wouldn't have been sought after. I did ask a young woman at the shop this week why they couldn't anticipate the demand and got the bla, bla, bla response. I still don't understand it; we have 106,000 members and yet the caps are gone and none are coming. We can get the black version, but not the beige. They tell me the t-shirt will be available in December. The young lady told me Collingwood tried to get more t-shirts but Nike didn't make enough. Jesus! Can we ditch Nike for being complete, blithering idiots?

In fairness anything outside the generic stuff they can print lots of quickly and the AFL can afford to throw out half of is always going to take more time. I'm surprised they had as much of the white t-shirts as they have managed to get so far.

As for the caps, that's likely an AFL contract and their deliverables, the black ones are probably easier for them to make in bulk whilst the beige would only have been done as a neutral colour and they would have produced x amount x 2 for Collingwood and Brisbane and that's it.

It is taking 2.5 months to get the main item I want, shit happens but it's not like I need a premiers guernsey today!!!

My only concern is with the lack of stock of some items being unsure on sizing but having to preorder, normally if you order something and the size is wrong, take it back, but there's every chance some of these things won't be in stock to be replaced if it's wrong. The generic stuff from the AFL is all produced by different manufacturers and in different countries so the sizing is all over the place. I tried on one yesterday I've already preordered and it fits, but the next size is up huge, there is a massive difference in 1 size!

I remember years ago I ordered an ANZAC guernsey as they always sold out, despite being the same manufacturer as our regular guernseys, the sizing was completely different and couldn't exchange as they had none left...

I'm still confused as to why Fly's Jacket is impossible to buy.

The Nike deal at face value is all very nice and I'm sure it's great for footwear and non branded clothing for the players etc.

But in terms of actual Collingwood merchandise it has been terrible. Fancy walking into the club shop and not being able to buy a player guernsey.

We might be better off with a company that understands and can cater for the Aussie rules market.

Umm....are you know aware of our premiership history? Why would the club spend millions on merchandise that won't sell if we had lost? People just need to be patient or shop around. There are enough AFL stores and licenced AFL stores where you can get most items.

You're posting a lot on this issue but you seem to be misinformed. People have been going to the AIA centre, but there is precious little there. Last week the White premiership t-shirt was available in small only. There were no premiership caps of any description and no grey premiership hoodies. So yes, we'd love to spend our dollars there, but they have very little of interest.

It doesn't have to be the AIA centre. There are many other licenced stores you can go to to buy merch.

Plus he's right, there's only so much money the club could gamble on winning by pre stocking merch.

It takes time after the fact to get the merch made and then shipped to the club so they can make it available. In my experience about 3 months. Im sure the club will be hoping to have it by xmas, but we'll see.

Either way they didn't screw up, this is just how these things go.

I'm still amazed the Premiership piece that's $2500 has 2500 prints made.

The price is fine, The amount of copies is nuts.

I can't believe anyone would buy this piece, 2500 copies are way to much and they don't even have the Collingwood Nike guernsey which is even more amazing.

$6.25 million in revenue on that item alone if all are to sell. Bonkers. I suspect it will be discounted in time.
