Are you out of work too?So proud of this team. We’re a different Carlton now. Watched the Collingwood game 10 times, this one I’ll watch more.

What a win! That was the most enjoyable I've had in a long long time. 22 points down at half time, half our midfield missing, seven regulars out and Charlie down on the day but still we found a way!
The defining moment for me was TDK's attack on the ball at half back in the third quarter that resulted in a goal. That oozed leadership, it was inspiring stuff.
Jesse Motlop seizing the moment and taking responsibility to kick that goal in the third. Jesse plays well in big games he kicks the important goals.
Paddy Wow what can I say? I was asking for more, I knew he had it in him. His second half was dominant. His breakaway speed is elite and his goal just topped it all off. Jeez he moves well when he's up and running. 22 touches (10 contested) 7 clearances (4 from the centre bounce), 4 tackles, 4 score invovlements, an assist and a goal. Extremely effective. His clearances are unique because he turns and carries the ball before disposing. Usually gets it on the move or if standing still he's got that breakway speed.
Nic Newman must be in the AA squad at minimum. You cannot play like that every week and not get noticed. Quick hands, quick mind, elite disposal. Oh and he beats his man. As good a half back that's going around and just as effective as Saad, albeit in a different way.
Weitering Kemp et al all did their jobs, Marchbank a little shaky however.
Can someone tell me why we are supposedly recruiting Gresham again ??

Paddy’s goal that put us in front in the last qtr
In the context of our season, that win has to be one of, if not THE best of the lot.
Missing two of our three starting tall forwards.
Missing two of our best and most damaging mids, plus one of our preferred starting contested mids.
Missing one of our key defenders who also happens to be one of our better kicks coming out of defense.
Old fashioned 8pt game against a side who have loved rubbing our noses in the dirt whenever possible.
Season genuinely on the line, and a mountain of expectation on our shoulders coming off a 6-game winning streak including a bollocksing of the top side last week.
The depth brigade ******* stepped up in a big way. I was nervous as hell through the second quarter - Fisher had gone missing, Marchy was looking 3-4 seconds off the pace - but they knuckled down and pushed through and each founds some moments to impact.
Second half I think two things happened. We decided that to win the game we'd need a sustained effort from all 22 blokes. And the Saints decided that they wanted to try and defend their lead instead of trying to win the game. It was a vintage Ross Lyon response. Up at half time - park the bus, scrag every contest, drag the game into the mire and protect a moderate lead. Shudder to think we could have had him...bullet dodged for sure.
Big tip of the hat to a number of blokes:
- Newman, best on ground by a country mile.
- Weiters, looking in supreme confidence again.
- Hollands, absolute lionheart, the new Simmo.
- Acres, take the odd OOF if it gets us monster efforts like today - has no business being so composed and punishing in the contest given he's, nominally, a wing.
And a few fringe players did their chances (with us or elsewhere) plenty of good - Fisher racking it up and Dow carving up the stoppages. Doesn't mean I want them in the best 22, or would bump up offers to retain them, but genuine respect to them for their contribution to the cause.
A few areas for improvement still. Charlie desperately needs some more help again, he's looking spent and going to ground far too easily - would like to see TDK make his presence felt in the forward line more frequently. While Charlie is playing a lone hand, we need to start off games being much more selective with who we target inside 50 - spend the first quarter hitting up anyone but Charlie, and by the second quarter he'll find himself getting less attention and therefore providing a better target.
Huge game next week, want to keep the momentum rolling but the Dees are a different prospect to St Kilda with our current outs. Good news is we're not competing with then for a spot in the 8, and we've got some breathing room now.
You could see the weight lift off his shoulders. He was loving it out there. Best moment of the game.
And Zac Fisher. What a game.PLAYERCARDSTART16Zac Fisher

Looking forward to beating that this year.Best guess 2000 when we did 13 straight
AND SosLate to the party. Love the win, and many of the comments have covered it well. Just want to give a shout out to Nic Austion and team. Great drafting, trades and MSD and SSP selections. We have a team that's ready to go all the way.
Looking forward to beating that this year.
I think they’ve finally worked out he’s a mid BUT unfortunately there’s no room if the others are fit.

He's built his core strength nicely, stands up in tackles and dishes off ..He has a chance now to build and consolidate - he was very strong today
hope kemp never loses his sidestep - you certainly haven't.........You forget to mention that your efforts with the maligning of posters - you forgot that bit
He had a real crack today and enjoyed that he kicked that goal.Vossy said in his presser that he was about to sub Dow out when Dow kicked “that” goal. And then he couldn’t in fear of being lunched by an angry mob of Carlton fans.
So while Dow has impressed a few on here, it still seems he is not a favourite choice of our dear leader.
