Yeah Sheed to Chandler via DDP is a decent shout. Even though I think he'll rack up the plus 6's at Optus.
And then Xerri to Darcy or English?

Doc, McGrath, Day, Constable, Ginbey, Cowan (Wilmot, Chesser)
Laird, Macrae, Green, Sheed, Worpel, Ashcroft, Mackenzie, Hollands (Pou, Davey)
Marshall, Xerri (Heath)
Dunkley, TT, Cogs, Rozee, Gulden, Sheezel (Pedlar, Greene) (Utility: Long)
Sorry missed the Darcy or English pick. I've got English so vested interest.

I'm still sceptical that Freo won't try to use Jackson for certain matchups, to rest Darcy at stages, or even to merely try and justify the wages they are paying him. English has also seen off the Gawn/Grundy combo and tonned up in the process. If you can get upto him, it is surely going to bear fruit when he lines up against the dozen mediocre rucks running around in the league.

This is also part of my issue. No carnage so no obvious mid-pricer/premium trade out.
Yep, everyone one of my players except Dunkley and Cameron made money - should probably move Cameron on to Gawn, but not a raging concern, might even be better to put him in the Fwd line for a Flanders - but I still think Flanders might come good as his second half was OK.

Surprised will phillips isnt talked about much as a trade in

I think he had a really good role, and score 40ish in 3 qtrs...... ive started to contemplate Bruhn down to phillips, considering midfield rookies havent set the world on fire

Apparently Laird's last two games against the Tiges are, at home a 95 (2022) and 75 when Adel played Tigs at Giants Stadium (sound familiar) in 2021. Still had 26 and 25 touches but predominantly handballs.
So say he goes 85 this week. you're down about 100 points over the first two games from what you paid. If you think he can go 120 from that point on still, then it's still worth the hold. The value of a trade and locking in the price drop is worth far more than 100 points.

That's not to discount the fact that it is conceivable the times may be changing at Adelaide and he may not ever hit those heights again.

However, there were pretty extenuating circumstances on the weekend given the heat, round 1 etc.

I obviously didn't start him, but if I did I wouldn't be compounding the mistake by bailing on him now.

Same. Just have to grit your teeth on him - it's so way out of character. I don't have him hey either - was looking at the byes when there are three trades for four weeks. But earlier would be good if he takes another hit against the Tiges, then Port, Freo and Carlton.

Yes, he looked solid too while on the field, had good body stature, reeks of midfield.

Went nearly 140 in the praccy so I'd be surprised if times are changing that much.

I'm wondering if Chandler is worth getting with his job security right now with all the players coming back, i guess if he's playing this week with the 4 players back then its good?
Kozi suspended for 2 so reckon he will get both those with his pressure

Thanks mate, yeah think I'll just pay up for English tbh.

And nice previous point about Chandler making money quicker than Sheed.

Alright friends, I'm leaving my trade up to you, add a bit of fun to the game. It'd be handy if I could make a poll but most replies will have to do..so please, someone reply. Or if you agree with a reply just 'like it'. Let's hope this works.
So, if you were trading Laird for someone from my list, who would you select?
The current list, in rough order:
Brayshaw
Setterfield
Oliver
Greene
Worpel
Coniglio
Warner
Hold Laird

I repeat…hold hold hold

Why'd you bother to start him then? If you jump off a pick after one subpar score, wouldn't it have been optimal to not start the most expensive bloke in the game when his price decline would be the greatest?
I started him because of his consistency and very high floor. Something that he has now broken. Also, we can't talk about trading out laird unless we talk about Tom Green and how good he looked. Does Laird = Tom Green +240k, that's the question. I prefer the Tom Green option. Or what about Tanner Bruhn 65 and 64% time on ground. These are all of the things that need to be factored in when talking about trading out laird (at least for my team).

FML there's a rumour going around Bytel is out for a month.

Would be 3 good POD picks injured in 1 week - Kelly, Xerri, Bytel.

Ready to press delete team button if true
Eh… would suck but we’ll just have to wear it. I was prepared to have to play somebody else if he got dropped after a couple of weeks. I guess I’ll just have to do it a week earlier than expected.

Disappointing though, he could have been a lowly owned highly scoring cash cow that gave us a real leg up.

I did suspect he could lose his spot regardless so I have planned for it. On field wise it won't hurt me too much as I will have to keep Bruhn and play him in that spot.

It's more about losing a potential good cash gen rookie and trade plans are put back even further. 3 moves behind the rest the comp now

Missus wants to know if she should hold Mills or trade? She needs to trade Jelly and probably should bring in Chandler but rather blame you guys if possible when it comes to Mills 😂

Mills is carrying a hand injury so I'm a bit cautious on him, but Jelly is definitely the priority.
