Trades 2023 Round 2 Fantasy Trades

Hah.

I'm not quite sure I understand it either, just a term I've heard thrown around. I think it's to do with how many trades we get now. From what I can gather it is basically an aggressive trading, mid-pricer chasing strategy that differs a bit from the more classical, hold your premos kind of thing. We have more trades so there's less risk going after a guy like Cox, for example. I reckon like 5-6 years ago someone like Kelly would be a hold. These days it's a trade. That sort of thing.

K, it's all circular I think, nothing really new in Soho.

Before I even read the text below I was thinking the same. I'd be tempted to go Williams (WC) for a few weeks as as Nicnat still seems a couple of weeks away, then there a little bit of cash to literally improve a Blakey or Sheed if needed. I'd put Davey on field before Tunstill.

Yeah good shout on just benching Tunstill. She's hell-bent on trading Laird so I've suggested Laird > Setterfied and Lycett > Gawn, think she has enough cash for that.

Yeah plus it's fun for me if she ditches him and I keep him it's a good experiment in which approach ends up best! Haha.

If you had to field 2 rookie forwards out of Chandler, Pedlar, Davey and Phillipou who are you choosing?

Obvious answer is Chandler and Pedlar but i doubt they go big again.

I think i have to with Chandler but not sure on the second one, opinions?

Pedlar, though it is the Tiges this week (OK I'm biased) but we do give up points. Davey against GC at Marvel is a great game for him, same could be said for Pou (Marvel against Doggies). Still Pedlar is a safer more mature player.

Yeah was leaning that way but i could see Davey going 80+ for sure

Cox is unquestionably, undoubtedly, a trap. I can not stress this enough.

It means you have to trade him out for someone, anyone, and you can decide who it is later.

tempted to go straight into Bowes and gets me Cowan off field as well. So scoring increases there.

Also tempted on Ziebell as a cheap forward option via DPP. Low breakeven, will get DEF status as well.

Don't even think you can see the league table on the app if I'm not mistaken? Tried to look at my wife and her sister's scores on it and couldn't see them. Such a dumb app.

Doesn’t make any logical sense to practice and train someone all pre season in a rebounding defender position for the firsts team and taking kickouts, to only drop them after 1 game.

If he was only intended to be in the team as a bench warmer until Weller came back, I don’t think they would have given him that role when it would have been better experience for another best 22 player to otherwise take on that role for a week or two.
