Those hawks boys with the swans at the SCG... if there was a way to avoid them for the xerri cash needed, i want to find it, but I don't think there is.

Is Kelly a must trade? 91 so isn't plummeting in price. Will miss one week and then he's back. I'll just field Hollands and keep him. Am I missing something?

Would rather get Sheed to Day and a rookie to Chandler.
Yeah I think I'm keeping, have Stewart to deal with and have to get Chandler in somehow.
Given how many trades we get I think it's trade. This isn't supercoach. Provided there's no urgent rookie fix ups or other obvious injuries I think it's safe. I'll be looking to go down to Green probably.
Absolutely if your lucky enough to have no other issues you trade. Also thank your lucky stars because if you have no other issues after that round you were pretty kissed after that carnage
Without playing around with my team yet, I'm planning on holding. My midfield is decent with Macrae, LDU and Green so I think I can afford to hold Jelly for one week and fix up other areas. I missed Chandler and would like to grab one of Day/Worpel if I can squeeze them in. Jelly playing last game of the round also gives you a chance to loop midfield rookies.

Just curious, if Laird pops out a 130 next week, will you still feel justified in trading him out?

Well that's exactly why I'm asking the question haha. Maybe? Because he'd still lose value for another week or two. I just don't have any other glaring holes so getting a jump on Laird's value feels best?

I am also eagerly awaiting lockout to lift and unceremoniously curb stomp Liam Jones from my team.

2045 this week, lost 33 points stupidly not taking Doch's 110, and Jones 7 cost me big. Should really be close to 100 points better off but oh well, good enough start.

This brings me back to one of the main rules of early season Fantasy. Don’t trade your premos! I have a feeling this will be a one off performance for him and it’s a bit pointless as there’s likely more pressing issues to fix. It’s only round 1. Plenty of time to catch up.

Roy from the traders went Xerri last minute and used the cash to upgrade Tom Green to a dud
As if that wasn't bad enough he got rid of Worp last minute for a few magic beans to fix up Xerri next week 🤣

Talk about rooting yourself from every angle possible

What would you be considering more pressing here out of interest? Other than picking up Chandler I'm not sure there's a rookie I've missed, no injuries, so it's either a sideways/downgrade of a premo or a sideways of a mid-pricer (not sure I could push Bruhn to anyone?) So Laird almost feels like the default. Really other option would be going Bruhn > Chandler and trying to use the cash to push Constable up to someone to get ahead of his potential dropping.

You’re in good nick so you at least have the luxury to trade him out.

Depends on how much you’ve got in the bank, I would trade Bruhn out, swing TT forward and get an extra mid.

Bruhn > Chandler
McGrath > N. Daicos?

Alternatively,

Bruhn > Chandler
Chesser > Callaghan, and Hollands to thr bench (if you've got enough cash)

You're in a good spot either way

Would go Bruhn > Chandler and get more cash in the backline for sure

Annoyingly my two pods failed this week (looking at you Cumming and Anderson). Sunday night is the time for knee jerk trades so one of those two is for the chopping block...
Weak. Get rid of both otherwise it will be the wrong one 😂

have them both too. Surely you have other things to fix up. I think both will still be fine.

Cheers yeah wasn't posting to be 'woe is me' was just genuinely curious about what position you need to be in for a Laird out to be a reasonable consideration.

Lots of food for thought with those calls though, cheers. Only $25k in the bank so not a heap of flexibility.
