Position 2023 Rucks

With both now injured he’s definitely more likely to play forward now. I saw Hayes more as a forward to replace King and Marshall getting the first ruck which is why I wanted to see where he was training I think I’ll definitely avoid him for now

Marshall wont play fwd because campbell is injured so hes basically their only fit ruck (heath isnt ready imo). I assume it will be 90 % marshall in the ruck 10 % a pinch hitter like battle so thats good for marshall SC wise.
I assume guys like sharman will play fwd.

I suspect Darcy takes the monsters and jackson takes the more athletic rucks. There are more of the former bit I still woudnt be taking either of them
I'd do the exact opposite - expose their weaknesses - Darcy out tapping weaker players and Jackson following up and pushing forward against the dinosaurs.

Hey campaigners, NBN modem carked it, so had a brief spell in the non-digital paddock for a few days...

Update on why I won't be picking TT next season:

Thank you for providing the clarity to my ruck dilemma in season 2023.

Picked these titbits off the Demonland Forum about Grundy .....how much do we read into the comment, given athleticism is meant to be his weapon .....these comments from different fans at training
Grundy last by a long way in every half ground run through

In the kick and mark session near the end I saw Grundy, Tmac, JvR and another drop 7 marks in a row. The marks that were eventually held were two or three grabs. I know it's wet and early January, but it no joke when fans over the fence are laughing at simple spilled marks.

Grundy looked a long way off all session. Positioning and marking aren’t a strong suit, and whilst he got involved with some ground balls with good vigour he didn’t do anything with it.

He was probably the biggest individual downside.

A bit worried about Grundy. Just doesn't take one grabs (and yes it was slippery), but he doesn't look to be all that fit. Was streets behind the others in his running group, but was also lagging in the match sim

Quoted from the AFL Fantasy Forum:

Rumour on the Pies board that Cameron is still struggling with a knee injury from last year.

Read an update somewhere that he was sent for scans the other day so may be some truth to it.

He hasn’t looked fit/right for for a long time now. I’m not sure he can really be bothered anymore.

Grundy AND my back-up in Cameron both have huge question marks surrounding them?

Farrrrrrrkkkk off

And yet how roundly I was mocked in my assessment of exactly why McCrae was happy to be rid of him; why he is Dale Thomas going to Carlton all over again, how his body is cooked because he has been smashed since he was 20 and how his heart was obviously no longer in it.
Ye of little faith...

He was playing against the Bombers though so he should be able to Dominate they don't have any other Ruckman

Bullseye. To me he’s appeared disinterested for the last few years - his on-field efforts dropped off noticeably, he barely impacts contests around the ground and his off field stuff is rarely football related (more interested in his MBA) - and his body/fitness is becoming more of an issue with each year. I’ll be staying well away.

Very true haha
But a couple of things that have stopped him from being a better SC scorer in the past are fewer around the ground marks than other rucks and therefore less kicks/hb's following the marks.
I'm not picking him but it wouldn't surprise me if his average SC score jumps up a decent amount this season

Gawn has apparently done a hammy. Even with the training news from the Dees, Grundy would become pretty hard to overlook depending on the severity.

He's become one of the safer options now. I think English and Marshall will be the most popular combo
english is tipped to become the #1 ruck. marshall was clearly hindered by ryder and now with him gone his price looks really juicy.

i still love the english darcy combo.
