Thats fair, and your last point; yeah that is a bit weird. Like i said, it would be understandable if one was coming to FA and was surveying the market to make a fair decision. But he's only OOC.

I don’t get the feeling Rowell has ever been paid what he’s actually worth at the Suns, he had an injury cloud over him for the first two extensions. I hope his manager has convinced him to play the game during this negotiation.

No doubt he loved Dew and was disappointed when he was sacked. I had impression in his interviews that he is not overly excited about new regime under Dimma. Moving on his close friend Luko probably did not help.

Better to start some mental gymnastics. Something like "Rowell is one-dimensional, he is not big enough, can play only inside, his body will break down, we will save tons of money, Graham, Humphrey, Davis will do great in his role"

Like in case of Smith this past trade period? They would offer what they will have. E.g. if they play finals, late 1st and future 1st (probably also late).

Dimma has been in this situation before and Dusty ended up re-signing with Dimma's Tigers just before they went on their first premiership run in August 2017. The prospect of losing Dusty didn't stop Richmond from getting their act together so hopefully something similar occurs with us this year and we finalise realise our potential by qualifying for the finals for the first time.

I still think we are too young. Continuous speculations about Rowell's future could have negative impact on the team.

Apparently, there is some noise that Dimma is not sold on Rowell.

As crazy as it sounds, I actually believe we would be fine without Rowell. I love watching him when he is on and his crazy personality but he does have limitations.

I did watch on Fox Footy recently Grand Final at Gabba when Tigers beat Cats. The list of assistant coaches helping Dimma was beyond impressive - Leppich, McQualter, McRae, Kingsley, forgot rest. Compare to our current list. It concerns me that Dimma does not have the same quality around him.
