How many can we realistically get to #Dusty300?

I think 60,000 would be genuinely sensational on a Saturday Twilight.

I never saw the likes of Bartlett and Dyer, but Martin will be the player I tell my kids kids about in 50 years time.

No player in my lifetime has such universal love amongst the faithful than the one Dusty Martin.

Time slot is excellent, is it a Hawks member replacement game? If so, the way they’re going add 6-7,000 I reckon.

This could draw upwards of 65,000 is the Hawks win this weekend and conditions are fine.

Its a tough one I know some have said about 60K but I'm thinking between 70-80K. Cant underestimate what dusty means to the supporter base. We may be 2nd last but if there's one game to go to this is the one. Still a week out so we'll get more of an idea around mid week.

So far weather looks ok for next sat but as you know that can change.

It’s their 4th highest crowd at Docklands against any non-Vic team.
The other three being vs. Sydney R2 2017 (flag unfurling), R1 2019 vs. Sydney, and R5 2017 (also the second home game after winning the 2016 flag).

It's an excellent crowd, and as pointed out, less Fitzroy fans as the late night game wouldn't be helpful to their older age base.

Crowd naturally largely based on four excellent weeks by the Dogs, with any win over Collingwood locally obviously impressing fans.

Shame about the Dogs loss as it'll put a dampener into Dogs crowds for the next little while, including next week.

I agree, I think it will definitely be overs. The formlines are nullified for this instance and it has all other stars aligned. Slot, Hawks replacement game and ‘flying’, hopefully good weather. I was thinking 65k but definitely agree it could comfortably top that.

This long weekend round could go close to another 400,000 record the only match that could drag the total down is the Hawks game in Tassie.!

I reckon between 350 to 370k, remembering we have one less game, which if Freo and port played each other that would likely tip it over 400k.

Best Richmond v Hawthorn fixture is 70,701 (in 2018) with the fixtures since drawing 64,498, 59,338 and 57,654.

Last years game is identical to next week, albeit with a better formline for Hawthorn and a worse one for Richmond. If that can draw 57,500, surely Dustin Martin’s 300th is worth an extra 10,000 at least?

Looking ahead, if the Hawks can keep up their form, they might have another 2 decent draws against Carlton and Collingwood in the next two months too.

Excellent crowd, amazing what a difference a Thursday (Dogs v Swans) and Friday (Dogs v Lions) can do for attendances.

I reckon between
FRIDAY NIGHT NRL LIVENine1,271,000522,00061,000

, remembering we have one less game, which if Freo and port played each other that would likely tip it over 400k.
Yep, I forgot there was one less match this weekend so anything over 370K will be brilliant!

Meanwhile down in the NRL boondocks at Wollongong the RL got very ordinary 9969.

Yep , reserve seat sales since it was announced he would miss the adelaide game have been very strong and are well ahead of last years game..with a week to go..
70k is a certainty , the question is if it can get past 80 problem being Richmond and Hawthorn probably don't have the numbers to fill mcc/afl members.. Hopefully plenty of neutrals rock up

RFC and HFC are fourth and fifth for AFL and fifth and sixth for MCC. That said, if Geelong and Hawthorn can fill the MCC on Easter Monday, why couldn't Dustin Martin’s 300th?

Yes agree at a min think it'll hit 70K. Don't even need a full MCC/AFL members because the public reserve will go close to selling out. The majority will be tigers and hawks fans anyway as Its 17th V 12th after all and I guess the dusty factor will draw in neutrals. How many is anyone's guess, the more the merrier.

Hawks on a roll will bring their support and tigers celebrating one of our greatest tigers will bring massive support for our home game.

Here's hoping for 80K

thats not too bad overall.

probably unders by 1-2K.
Will drag the overall total down = time for both Hawthorn and North to get out of Tassie and let the Tasmanians start to boild their own team with the money saved!
St Kilda vs Gold Coast = 17,992
What a disgraceful crowd at Marvel for a Melbourne AFL team with an alledged 60k+ members on a Sat night with no other competition you would expect at least 25,000 minimum.

People have unrealistic crowd expectations for a team in the bottom four, playing terribly, against a team with very low support.
Only people who support Carlton Collingwood or Richmond.

Saturday nights are a terrible time slot for big crowds plus the way the saints were playing, it was bound to be less than 20.

And tbh, with the way that game was played, you almost have to feel sorry for those who attended.
