I don't see the hype in Shanahan. No outstanding qualities from an athletic point of view. He looks a decent size and nice kicking technique but looks like another Dan McStay type.

Big fan of his hands, relaxed and simple kicking action and he is good at getting up the ground unlike Armstrong. I like him athletically because he has a tank. Ran a 6:39 2km. Think he translates the best to the modern game off the key fwds.
