So with all the fluff and sob storys of the first 15 or so picks taking round 5 mins each we will probably make our selection at 9pm melb time?

We should run a sweep on what time we get to make our selection.

I'm thinking around 9pm.

6PR's sports today program starts two hours after the draft kicks off, so they might just be able to squeeze the Eagles and Dockers first picks in before they go off air two hours later.

Chances our a couple from outside of your top 15 have already been taken anyway so they are still available.
That's right and that then dictates how far I'm prepared to slip back. If 3 from my top 15 are still on the board at our pick, I'm prepared to slide back 2 spots, guaranteeing one will still be there.

Heard Rowe briefly on the radio on way home say, draft player X as he is a Ken Hinkley type of player. 2 things, wtf is a Ken Hinkley type of player, and why the hell are we drafting a Ken Hinkley type of player when the peanut is out of contract this year and SHOULD never be re-upped.

Parker indicated he had a top 10 then a top 25. I interpreted that (if it wasn't a smokescreen) as he's hoping for a slider at 13 and if none arrive he'd consider swapping 13 for two inside 25. Who knows if that includes academy/FS picks and more importantly who's in the 10 and 25.

Only heard one, 27 to Bulldogs for 35 and 48
Yeah SEN said that about 15 minutes.

We have 36+50. Wonder if we were dealing with Brisbane and they then went to bulldogs and said will you match this?

Don't get people crying over Barrett "maybe" getting drafted at a very late pick.
Who cares, there's obviously better players for us to take.
Cat B is a list you can only use if you have players that meet the criteria, to score a kid through that mechanism, that has some actual potential, would be a huge gain for our depth.

Main list matching would be pointless/worthless, and yes as you say not worth doing. But for him to slip through and be automatically Cat B rookied would be a real bonus.
