Yes 4 main list spots, 3 draftees and upgrading McEntee (cal through the week said on afl website “They will upgrade rookie Jed McEntee to the senior list)

Also said “Draft picks: 13, 29, 36, 50 (likely to use three or four selections”

We had 5 main list spots. We've moved McEntee, cutting that down to 4. Creating a rookie spot.

They’ve still got to get their FB and ruckman. Two key forwards, CHB, three mids who can all kick goals. Scary, scary draft haul and still going. A Whitlock and Dodson and they’ve got their spine and centre square sorted for ever.

Surely you see us getting bent over at the trade period and draft. At some point you will have to question why it happens to us, and why other clubs keep benefiting off it and win flags, while we continue to extend our 21 year premiership drought.

We might end up with Berry plus Shanahan/whitlock. I don’t think it’s that bad.

Brisbane didn’t need a full 5 minutes to match a rort.

That would be good. Still some way off from happening though.

People also should remember- trading our 4th pick really just pushed our last pick back, really. This increases our chances of matching a bid for Benny Barrett. We will have a list spot open to very late in the piece now. Previously we couldn’t match a bid between 50 and the end of the draft as we had no list spots left. Now we can.

This actually removes the incentive of anyone bidding on Benny also increasing the chances of getting him for “free” as a cat B rookie.

North trading a top 3 pick for next year, for pick 27, and a high 20-30 pick next year (given the tainted draft) reeks of when the Crows did that and it backfired big time a few years back.
