It’s good to see the strong get stronger :/A PAIR of Brisbane-bound midfielders have supercharged the Sandringham Dragons to a third successive premiership, with the strong favourites claiming a piece of history in the Victorian under-18 competition.
Academy talent Sam Marshall and father-son Levi Ashcroft were pivotal as the Dragons stormed to their flag threepeat, with the 37-point win coming in comfortable fashion in the Coates Talent League decider against Greater Western Victoria Rebels.
What GF bets are you putting on?Think it's only fitting that Warrick Capper should present the cup to the winning captain.

Cats autopsy thread is so calm. Very much, " ah well, great year, 25 points up, but we lost, what's for dinner " ?
Was quiet last week but stepped up again Yesterday. Cant keep a champ down.Lachie Neale 12 clearance's on one leg, no wonder Cat's got smashed 30 to 20 in stoppage clearance's, 21 tackles inside 50 to 9, and they rave about Geelong's small pressure forwards
Why stop at boundary umpire, go all the way to CEO...Might sign up to be a boundary ump at AFL level next year.
Competence doesn’t seem like it’s a prerequisite.
They still do, the game results are just earlier.Remember when we had Autopsy threads started after the game ended?
Small steps. Why stop at boundary umpire, go all the way to CEO...
Not even gonna turn the game on. Im going to the royal melbourne show instead. **** it.
I remember this time last year it was so freaking hot.Luck's in with the weather. Looks like the best day of the week......( even though, Melbourne.......)
My family are life long swanny members/fans, they live in Sydney and are travelling down, but they have missed out on tickets via the ballot with their membership. If anyone knows of or has any grand final tickets for sale, it would be greatly appreciated if you could reach out to me. Thank you.
From experience the best source for last minute tickets are those coterie member types of clubs recently knocked out of the finals (Cats, Port for starters). In the past, when we attended every Gf regardless of who was playing, we’ve made calls to clients interstate who we knew were heavily involved with their club and asked them to keep an ear to the ground for any of their fellow members with guaranteed GF tickets who’ve lost interest now their team’s out. We’ve always found them, but they cost a fair packet.
Mrs Toes had a fellow staff member at her work mention on Sunday that they knew someone like that who had a few available. She called my Lions (ex Fitzroy) nutter cousin who said “I’ll take two. How much each?”
“$2,800 each and you have a breakfast function prior plus something else” and he transferred the money from his phone on the spot. Mrs TT let the seller know and forwarded the cash straight to them and the tickets will be dropped off at her work tomorrow for my cousin to collect.
Now he’s able to afford it obviously but he said he just wanted to know he had seats for him and his dad early in the week so they could relax and enjoy the build up, knowing they’ll be in attendance come Saturday.
Anyway, good luck to them mate.
Medallion club seat holders have access to GF tickets. $500 a ticket. $2800 is ridiculous$2800

#21 for me. Very generous of you, I have little time for most opposition fans. This will be my 37th Grand Final that I’ve attended. Kind of helps that I’ve worked at the ‘G for just over 30 years (event staff). Have missed 4 since 1983 (covid and was away on holiday’94&10 replay). It’s not really a money thing for me, I simply love the footy and the big game atmosphere. It’s fun. Pretty sure all staff are rostered on GF day. It’s a massive operation especially behind the scenes. Security is just crazy nowdays. Used to be quite easy getting mates……….oops. Anyway back in the early/mid 80’s it was pretty easy getting standing tickets for finals and GF. It was old school queuing overnight. So that’s what I used to do. A few high school teachers would pay me to queue and buy tickets for them as well. Would get the day off school with no repercussions. The day just flies, it’s really buzzing in there. I really enjoy seeing the excitement and emotion of winning fans, 2016/17 were simply insane. I grew up in the west and was so happy seeing ‘Footscray’ win it. Knew it meant a lot for the area. Oldies were crying hysterically. Used to just give it to my Richmond mates for decades but knew they fully deserved it after 30 years of shitness. They’d done the hardest of hard yards. Sometimes I even get swept up in the crowd atmosphere. I was on the perfect angle on level 4 when Sheed kicked that goal against the Pies. Was saying surely the campaigner won’t get this, 50 metres out on the boundary is simply too hard, too much pressure. Was watching it slowly go in mouth wide open, eyes popping out then joined in the WCE mosh pit when it split the middle. Was surrounded by them. Could not believe it what had just happened.
I want Brisbane to win on Saturday, they’ve been building for this the past 6-7 years. Remember seeing them during their rebuild give us a tough game and was really impressed by a kid called McClugage. I’m putting a $5ver on him to win the Norm Smith and to kick the 1st goal. It a long road to a flag, I’m hoping it will be a similar Brisbane type scenario for us. They are so hard to win, so hard. Sydney ****ing shit me, probably the only team I really despise.
