I get the fascination of Cox forward, but we don't need it anymore and there's no way we priortise playing Draper over Chapman say, just so Cox can play 5 minutes forward per game.

Draper will push Hughes out. Guy can play tall or small.
Running, evasive skills and can kick.
It’s like we cloned Chappy, and maybe Aish will again be a utility?
Hughes isn't B22 though. Draper has to push one of the KPDs or Ryan out when Cox comes back - good luck.
Whilst he moves well, I don't think he moves as well as 180cm guys so Clark, Aish etc aren't in danger.

Why does the Darcy Jackson question mark remain. I thought Saturday night showed it does work, as it did last season.
I thought it worked very well. It also seemed to give Treacy more room to move.
Walters... I thought , looking live at the game Saturday night , he didn't play well. I watched the replay and it changed my mind. Apart from his silly attempts to mark, and give away two free, he played a very strong part for the team.His lat attempt to mark when both Jackson and Treacy were in postions to fly was criminal. His spot should have been front and centre to the contest.
I think Brodies number has been stamped.I think that other shave take the spot that MAY hav ebeeb there.
He will have to have a few real stand out games for Peel, and then maybe rely on an injury or two.

I think the dominance of Fyfe on the weekend can be attributed partly to Darcy in the ruck. Other part being having overall confidence in his role and body.
Jackson around the ground playing ruck might be better but hitouts to advantage in centre or throw ins is still where Darcy excels. Doesn't hurt to have him as a target kicking down the line from defense.

Agree to disagree on Walters. I was also at the game (and watched the replay) and thought that he was generally fairly poor. His defensive efforts were not up to scratch and gave away 2 free kicks inside our forward 50 (One lost us a mark to Emmett and set shot from 40 out, directly in front) He kicked one goal in the last minute of the game.
Apart from one great game this year, he has had a bad year and would not be getting picked if his name was not Michael Walters.

Walters is a very important on field leader for us that can't be replaced by whoever we would bring in. There was a moment in the final quarter (I think) right in front of us where Walters was on the wing with the ball coming out of defence, Jackson was 70 metres away up the ground. Walters turned and called Jackson up to the wing with him before calling for the kick, Jackson went up for the mark and Walters stayed down, crumbed and gave the hands to Jackson at ground level who ran on and set up a goal up the ground. All he gets on the stat sheet is 1 handball when in actual fact he literally single handedly set a very important goal up for us with his direction. He does stuff like that quite often

I'd have Switta in the team instead of O'Meara. I think Logmuir will want Cox forward a bit when he returns to keep Draper in the team. Perhaps I rate Draper more than most but I think he's been fantastic. I'm pretty sue Aish spent a bit of time on the wing for the first time this year last game. I'd rotate him there for short bursts to make the rotations work. Possibly Freddy could play a bit of wing too I like him on the wing in short bursts.

Sharp continues to get rewarded for his run and Johnson finally bobbed up for a goal as well, 4 goals from midfield is exactly what we need every game. Now we just need to do it against full strength Sydney.
Johnson and Sharp seem to pop up more with scoring shots, both with 6-7 shots on goal this season. However I'm all aboard if Young gets the license to go for it 50-55 out.

Young being able to kick goals off either foot makes him a nightmare to plan for in forward stoppages. With Serong, Brayshaw, Sharp etc you just guard that right side so they can't swoop onto it and kick.
That Young can just finish, and Johnson can kick off both feet too, makes for a much more dangerous group.

Doesn’t quite have the poise of Mundy, but I’m willing to give him 300 more games to see if it comes with maturity.
Oh 100%, love the aggression and arrogance he plays with. Honestly believe he'll end up better than Serong/Brayshaw/Young as a midfielder IMO

Decided to check what I thought at the start of the year, probably Banfield for Emmett the only real I change I would make now, and obviously they rate JOM higher than Johnson right now, but I can see that changing, Johnson likely to come onto the sub role against the bulldogs replacing Brodie in my lineup who doesn’t look like he’s going to break into the 23 unless we have some injuries.
