I did some quirky stats

Jeremy Cameron when he has 4+ Goals , from 2017-2023. Polls at least a vote in 23 of those 30 games.

When he kicks exactly 3 goals, in the same time frame. He polls at least a vote in 3 of those 32 games.

Ill have to go back and possibly review the games against Carlton in Rd 7 and Hawks in Rd 17.
Love it! What’s your thoughts on waterman? I reckon he wins WCE. He polled 2 votes last year in a game he had 4 goals 12 touches. And he did that 3-4 times, and also with 8+ marks

I reckon the Western Derby earlier in the year may be the decider. He won the medal but I reckon he might not get the 3 votes there despite winning the Medal. If you reckon he is a banker for the 3 there, he probably goes on to win Eagles votes.

My bad Yeo won it. I was meant to say, I dont think Yeo is a shoe-in to get 3 there in Rd 6 in the Western Derby.

The Ross Glenndining Allan Medal votes went:

7 Yeo
6 Harley Reid
5 Waterman

GLENDINNING-ALLAN MEDAL VOTING
Mitchell Woodcock: Elliot Yeo 3, Harley Reid 2, Jake Waterman 1

Andrew Embley: Harley Reid 3, Jake Waterman 2, Elliot Yeo 1

David Mundy: Elliot Yeo 3, Jake Waterman 2, Harley Reid 1

Unreal. Enough to get him 2 or 3 in a loss? Walsh massive last quarter and was pretty good all game as well

you feel like 2 or 3 is most likely

Whats fair odds for Cripps to get the 3 votes in the last game of the season?

Was a bit of a weird game, the best 3-4 players I felt were from the Carlton side.

A repeat of 2022. Blues a heap of injuries late in the season, bottle a bunch of games in the run home. Cripps left as the lone hand trying to save his club from mediocrity, heartbreaking finish for the Blues but he gets the 3 votes to secure the Charlie.

I cant remember that last quarter of the 2022 game and whether Cripps had an impact but Steele put the clamps on him in that 4th quarter. Walsh had the better overall 4 quarter game, Cripps had the outstanding quarter of the game.

Cripps had 4 disposals and gave away a free kick in the last quarter which resulted in a goal.

It could a similar case of the 2022 game which also involved Saints in Rd 23, where they happen to have lost the game but ended up with 3-2-1 in a losing side. Am I crazy to think a Blues clean sweep is on the cards despite them losing?

Just my opinion and I guess we'll find out on Brownlow night but to me Cripps was far more influential at the coal face. Was smashing through contests and tackling hard, Walsh was his usual inside outside kind of game where he worked hard but didn't really have any big eye catching moments near the umps.

My final Spreadsheet values for the best on ground.

Walsh would be worth a look for best on ground last game of the season for me at around $3.75+ ish. I doubt the sportsbooks will offer $4+ for Cripps here. Id be wanting a bit more than that though. Newman was huge with his 17 marks and metres gained.

Ill go 3) Walsh 2) Cripps 1) Newman

Walshs great last quarter squeezes him home for the 3. I could see a world where Newman could snag that 2 votes off Cripps too but maybe Im watching the game with beer goggles if people want to disagree with me.

None for the winning side?

Yeah im thinking about who was the best player for the Saints. In my opinion it was Phillipou. Think Wood was 2nd best, Marshall 3rd best and Steele a worthy 4th best. Channel 7 interviewed Higgins after the game- he kicked the matchwinner.

I think back to this game BuddysBiggestFan

Where the 3,2,1 went to Saints players in a losing game in 2022. You have to reward the best players on the ground.

If a Saints player happens to get a vote , probably could squeeze in for the 1? Im confident the votes here will be Walsh and Cripps.

Ill go against my original tally and get Newman for the 2 votes.

3) Walsh 2) Newman 1) Cripps.

very keen to see everyones tallies and predictions for the brownlow this year. I think it will be a ripper of a count.
I know i dont contribute to the thread because I cant watch every game to do my own count, but alas I always look forward to reading this thread every year and see if I can find some winning bets in there :)
