When there is enough evidence to show that picks 1 & 2 rarely are the 2 best players taken in the draft we can safely say that trading up for 2 isn't the answer

so you only need 12 days off after a concussion before playing footy again but if you get concussed 4 times spanning your life up to that point it's career over? what?
Once you're in the red zone then the likelihood of having life changing effects from concussion is huge.

Angus Brayshaw
Paddy McCartin
Nathan Murphy
Daniel Venables
Jake Kelly
Paul Seedsman
Marcus Adams
Max Lynch
Aiden O'Driscoll

All of the above players have retired due to concussion issues over the last couple of years and I've probably missed some

That's not correct , picks 1 and 2 have more chance of being the best picks than other picks.
This year less so though.

far out love the confidence n cheeky smile when saying he'd love to go pick 1 in his dream scenario, gotta get him
not a fan of him mentioning he goes for colonwood every 3 seconds , seems like a little colonwood flog

Go through every draft from 2000 to now and count how many times the players picked 1 & 2 have ended up the best 2 players from that draft. I'd be willing to suggest that there isn't a single draft where that has happened.

Well which are the better picks then? See, not logical.
The way it works would be something like Pick 1 has a 30% chance , pick 2 a 25% chance ect.
The last two years Harley Reid and JHF will be the best player in their draft.

the top tier mids that tested were around 6:24-6:39 for their 2km time with smillie being 6:38

an outlier of those times was travaglia at 6:13

Did Greg Williams hold the record ? Smillie has football Nous ! Something that cant be learnt Brian "Whale" Roberts won a Brownlow yet he wasnt that athetically gifted save hitching onto a tram when he was suppose to be doing laps around the tran

So what is your point? Is that pick 3 is better than pick 2? The higher the pick, the higher the chance of a better player, that's what the stats say.
