Hilarious chats going on at North board … my favourite is talking how they need to take the best mid early and get a pick or two in the 20’s to draft a much needed KPP.

They are seemingly oblivious to the fact they had #25, and traded it for a 28yo dwarf.

I knew they were slow over there but they’re still two months behind tiger_tough, trying to talk themselves into Jagga being the number 1 pick!

If we get picks 1 & 2 I’m convinced Jagga will be one of those picks.

I just don’t think you overlook kids who dominate at every level they’ve played, including 50 disposals in a game followed by 40+ the next week, then dominance at VFL level against men. Not to mention crazy leadership qualities and head clearly screwed on. He’s Nick Daicos with more courage and hardness but a bit less polish.

As the saying goes “If people keep showing you who they are, believe them”.

The hard on 🥒's in here for Lalor & FOS based on "potential", over a proven gun kid that's dominated every area is hard to understand. I've watched plenty of videos of all 3 & just cant see it, but I can't say I watched any of FOS in the underage. Last player we picked in round 1 based on "potential" was Riley Collier Dawkins ended real well for us. I'd be 🫠 if we don't take Smith with either of the first picks.
I really want to be convinced about Lalor but I just can't.

Difference is Jagga has been focused on footy. Lalor hasn’t he’s been focused on cricket.

It is highly likely Lalor will be a better player once he is 100% focused on AFL if he isn’t a better player already.

Dusty clone is an understatement.

Ok fair enough. I really hope so, because it's a huge gamble. I just dont want another Tambling repeat. I guess taking risks wins flags just like Hawks with Buddy & us with Dusty over Trengrove. So hopefully they both come on.

Will be changing my username to "My Jagga Rules" when we pick him.

Would you rather a potential Dusty or Pendlebury? That’s essentially what this is.

Risk it for the biscuit imo. We’ll get better picks in the next few years and grab some more reliable players to balance it out.

a draft night play or chance it's done beforehand?

If I’m betting I think we go into the draft night with Pick 1 & 2.

If we can get pick 2 and North F1 for 6 and 10/11 that would be huge. If we have a good run with injuries there’s every chance North finish last not us.
FWIW we had an injury run for the ages & Norf still managed to win only 1 more game & finished with worse % than us....

Both, imagine Pendlebury feeding Dusty with those basketball handballs

Pick 1 - Lalor (187cm)
Pick 6 - Smilie (194cm)

2 midfiels beasts. Get it done.

For those concerned about not picking up a higher rated mid and who want Pick 2, remember If we finish bottom for the next two years (likely) we will get picks 1 and 19, and have less than 8 wins over the next 2 years (also likely) we may get a priority pick.

Over 3 years that's picks 1, 1, 1, 2, 6, 10, 11, 18, 19, 19, 20, 23, 24, 36.

13 picks in the top 24 over 3 years.

In comparison, over 6 years North have had only 11 picks in the top 24.

14 picks in the top 24 or about the same as north have had over 6 seasons (in half the time)..

I reckon Smillie will get to 10 tbh.

Lalor, FOS, Smillie would also be a beastly combo. With 1,2,10

First off, just wanted to say, RIP Chris Toce. A wonderful human who cared deeply for our club and will be a massive loss for not only just our recruiting efforts but his nature and the person he was to all whom met him.

Thanks tigs2010 for providing my rankings. Think this will be it now as most of the heavy lifting has been done. Unless something happens out of the ordinary.
  1. Finn O’Sullivan
  2. Sam Lalor
  3. Alix Tauru
  4. Levi Ashcroft
  5. Harvey Langford
  6. Jagga Smith
  7. Sid Draper
  8. Josh Smilie
  9. Leo Lombard
  10. Xavier Lindsay
  11. Taj Hotton
  12. Murphy Reid
  13. Harry Armstrong
  14. Joe Berry
  15. Isaac Kako
  16. Bo Allan
  17. Tobie Travaglia
  18. Ollie Hannaford
  19. Jack Whitlock
  20. Jesse Dattoli
The top two haven’t changed for me for a while. It’s pretty much as close as you can get, I just favour the overall ability of FOS and have done for a while but it’s minuscule between the two. Lalor will be our first pick in the draft. Can pretty much take it to the bank. He’s a wonderful leader, is very driven to be the best and has a large scope to get better as he will be in an AFL environment. His raw ability is unique and I’m very confident he will be a match winner.

Tauru has flown up my rankings. I’ve explained to some that after Champs I did a lot of research on him and watched tapes and then watched his games. He’s probably the guy who could be the best athlete and player in it. North are right to pin hopes on him. He isn’t a leader (as yet) and is very very raw in a lot of ways but I do project him to be a huge player. James Sicily but with better athletic traits.

It’s a very even draft to be honest and if you look at rankings you might say well how is he so low? Or how is he too high? For a lot of this draft class, you could have them a lot different without much argument from me.

One other comment I’ll make is I do love Ollie Hannaford and Jesse Dattoli and with a bit more work and tape viewing they could easily be even higher. The other thing is the top 20 to top 35 is close as well. So a lot of players that would feel unlucky not being in here in the top 20 but I can’t fit them all in (isn’t that right tigs2010)

We will get a good player at any top 24 pick we have. I’ve said for months, we have got a situation for us which has been the perfect storm.

Trust Blair to get it right. Trade with North will favour us. Ignore the noise. Also having Frank involved with the power of work Chris and others have done, we are ready. This is an exciting time for our footy club.

It’s year one of our process. Blair has the pieces of the puzzle ready to go and is playing in a different world to most. The club don’t expect to be down for years and there’s planning involved to rise pretty quickly. We are smartly cashed up and ready to launch again.

I think I’ll be absent from the boards for a period here and there but you know any questions to my rankings (it is a ranking in my opinion not a mock draft) yell out.
Any word on who we will target in the next couple of years. Cadman has been spoken about and obviously we are in dire need of a key forward, is there any other player or position you believe we will target?

Weren't you the one going crook about chat relating to the draw in the trade thread.

And here you are spamming this thread about cheap perverted sex with poverty stricken Asian girls in a 3rd world country.

Take your debased set of morals to the TAN, makes me feel sick reading about it here.
