Tobie Travaglia seems like hot property, would be a great fit for us if we can get him!

Come on guys NO chance he is taken top 5

I really dont see how a 'Slowish HBF with iffy kicking goes top 5"
Personally i would hope we have no interest in Travaglia at our first 4 picks

Here is our conundrum.

I believe the biggest ‘lock’ to be an outstanding player from this draft is Jagga Smith. I believe most other top prospects have question marks and may not reach A-grade levels … Jagga will.

However, I also believe he’s little chance of ending up being the best player from this draft.

So do we go for the guaranteed A-grader, or try our luck with the potential A+ player?

This is why I still believe if we get pick-2 Jagga is a big chance of being one of those picks.

FOS & Jagga
Lalor is merging with Carlton.

The benefit is we already know which player port want at 10
We have 11 and know eagles will take Allan with #12 which we have no interest in (if thats the case)
So we effectively still take the player we were going to take ( Hotton ) at #11 with #13 and get Davidson as the bonus
Davidson🙄 The obsession with him continues, much rather take a kid from this draft pool

It’s all well and good but Richmond have said they could try Judson off half back to far better kick that Travaglia. Both have a high IQ, big engines.
Happy with that!

I want Juddy in the team!!

So 1, 2, 6, 7, 11 then?

tonight leap GIF
How are we getting 2?

He did say very very small chance, for the blues.

So not saying it's likley or anything like that.

All w***ers in here talking basketball 💩 crap
if there was cricket or basketball on id rather watch cricket and I farrken loathe watching cricket

The thing i thought of regarding the potential port trade was

Richmond know now who we want at pick 10 or 11 and we believe he will be available a bit later ( Hotton) and Port clearly have a player in mind that wont be available ( Travaglia )

To Richmond trade #10 . #11 to Port so they can take Travaglia to replace Houston
Eagles take Allan at #12
Richmond then select Hotton with #13

Whilst gaining the extra pick #39 to select

Dr Sam Davidson
Yes…i want the good doctor…worth it at #39 that’s for sure

Just listening to SEN atm, they are interviewing a kid from the Dragons, just said Reid is the best player in the e competition. Silky smooth, can’t be tackled.
Big wrap, albeit one of his teammates

Does Reid have a super hard edge? I’m dubious on spending elite picks on anyone who isn’t hard as nails (eg. Toumpas, Morton, Petreski Seton, Fiora, Tambling, Scully, Watts) … seems to be the most common thing that brings elite youngsters undone.

Yeah but 10 for 13&29 is massive overs for port

When it comes to the actual draft, the value of a trade is about players, not points. Eg. Port know that Travaglia and Armstrong are almost certainly gone by 13. But they’re super keen on either as a Houston replacement or a KPF. Going to 10 will almost guarantee one of those 2. And if not, they get Shanahan or Reid who may also be gone by 13.

People have a fascination with points when working out ‘unders’ or ‘overs’ in trade value. If going from 13 to 10 guarantees Port the player and positional need they want, then 29 is a worthwhile price to pay.
