Teams love the games this time of the year. They will contact certain prospects managers to stir rumours that they looking in one direction to hopefully build interest from certain clubs to raise his stocks to take another prospect later in the draft.
Some teams will not even speak to a prospect they really like.

Richmond’s strength of draft hand almost means we control the first round and we will be as tight lipped as ever.

Richmond is not going to up their offer to Nth, because Nth might take FOS

If Richmond want FOS, they will take him at Pick 1

The two clubs that will be panicking if Nth keep 2, and take FOS, are Carlton and the Saints

Carlton because they lose FOS, and the saints because they end up missing out on the best mids and have to choose from

Tauru/Reid/Lynsday, instead of Smillie/Draper/Smith

Reckon in the end SOS will fold and give the roos what they want

Suits me, because I do not want FOS at the blues, prefer him at either Nth or the saints

I do believe if Kale Gerryn was playing for vic metro or Vic country this year he would be a top 10 pick.

I’m a big ✅ for Gerryn @ pick 10 or 11.
He will be still on the board at pick #20 and probably #23

I would rather trade #10 to GWS for #15 & #16

NorF wont be taking FOS

They want Tauru and will trade #2 to another team even if it means just a small win at the end
#8 to GWS for #15 + #16

#7 + #16 to NorF for #2
Saints take #2 + #15 to the draft

They already knew what they were getting for ANB from day 1 and would already have been factored into the equation
The Bombers needed the extra F1 to trade back in after the Kako bid and would only trade that pick for the F1 as a pick this year from us really had no value unless it was #6 so #9 was never an option for Richmond

What does ANB have to do with 46? He was pick 28 on day 1 of trade week.

They made the deal for 46 with crows for their F3 on Monday before Bombers trade.

They don’t need an extra F1 to trade back in if we give them 23 on draft night. It works exactly the same way.

Edit: yes I know list spots matter but WCE and Sydney have already played this game of trading out F2 then swapping back after bid.

They would have known what they were getting before the trade was done and most likely did that trade with the crows to facilitate the bombers trade
* I got the ANB and 46 trades mixed up

I don’t think Gerryn gets past Sydney @19 and 22.

Freo @14 no
Port @13 unlikely
GWS @15,16,21 I wouldn’t have thought so. But they are light on in the ruck. I don’t know if they would take a WA boy to sydney though.
West coast @12 I would say prefer Allen to be there
Bulldogs @17 no

So I think pick 18 would be perfect for Gerryn.

North Melbourne won't be trading its F1st.

Please stop asking.

Thank you.
Just go to the draft with pick 2. Take best available which you will and it will be another midfielder..which doesn't address your key position problems...if you were keen on taking Tauru at 2 you wouldn't be offering the pick up ..
Rawlings has stuffed up here and you know it .. personally I'd prefer to keep our picks as is, as I think the top 7 players are pretty even and we'll get 2 of them regardless ...another thing I'd personally like is if you half dozen roo supporters pissed off to St failures board and pestered them for awhile about how much you would like them to pay for a pick they haven't asked for

Shannahan , JWhitlock and Probably Faull gets selected prior to Gerryn

But the kid does look like a beast but swans wont take him as a Ruckman

I see Cats approaching Richmond at pick #20 /#23 with their F1 for him

Why would i ???

Normal people just refer to future picks as F1 , F2 , F3 , F4
as the "number" is not going to be that exact pick

You are a very very different individual Magic
f1, f5 etc... is ambiguous,

the number has clarity, and besides it was another contrary source, but you do as you please

I try and be helpful, but no point flogging a dead horse and leading horses to water does not make them drink

while you eat a sandwich, I climb a mountain, not my problem

NorF wont be taking FOS

#8 to GWS for #15 + #16

#7 + #16 to NorF for #2
Saints take #2 + #15 to the draft

Yeah, you see, I do not think 8 is equal to 15+16.

Do not think GWS give up 15+16 for Pick 8.

What if it is 16+21

8 to GWs for 16+21
7+16 to nth for 2
saints 2+21 to the draft?

It really doesnt as that wont be the number the pick is taken at where as when you say F4 teams / people know its your future 4th rounder

55 could become 65 or 45 and in which year
you been around a bloody long time now and im done training you
sink or swim magic ;)

Bottom line is pick-20 on its own is a lot more valuable than the combo of all the picks we gave away to get it.

It’s naive to think we could’ve got the Lion’s pick for less than we offered. Do we honestly think Blair started with our ‘best’ offer?

No I don’t agree that pick 20 is worth the collective value of the picks we gave Brisbane. I’d have preferred Melbourne got the pick leaving us to deal with Essendon or anyone else. I Just think we paid way too much.

Anyway it’s no use arguing this anymore as we see it differently. The deal has been done. I just wonder if we didn’t have all this draft bounty from trading out players, if posters would be happy with that trade alone.
I don’t think so.

How about this for a idea.

Trade RFC future second and 55 to Brisbane for pick 27 and 34.

Trade 27 to Saint Kilda with pick 11 for pick 8

trade 6 and 23 to North for pick 2.

So end up with 1,2,8, 10, 18, 20, 24, 34
stupid

I think 8 easily gets #15 and #16 but thats besides the point
Saints would just say hey NorF we got #7 & #21 take it or leave it

NorF take it
