this looks ok for Richmond
we start with 1,6,10,11,18,20,23, 24 (8 picks)
& end with 1,2,6,16,18,23, 24 (7 picks)

Port win -10 for 13 and 29.
GWS lose/no value swap -13 and 20 for 15 and 16.
North (big losers) 11, 15 and 29 for 2

The main player is North here with pick 2 & they suffer the most !!
Will never happen - North will need a pick between 2 picks between 6 & 11 plus another in the teens. Melb & Saints will need to player here aswell.
Too much. 10,11 and 20 for 2 and 16. Rather keep our picks unless Nth F1 is part of any trade.

If anything I'd prefer we just target North F1 - trade 10 for 13&29 with port. Give North 13 for their F1 & MORE - they previously offered this for pick 13...

North Melbourne have swivelled the Suns’ head with an eye-watering offer of a future first-round pick and more, according to SEN’s Sam Edmund.

That way we have turned 10 into F1, pick 29 and whatever more is (assuming it's a future 2nd). 10 for 29 and what could be 2025 picks 2-6 and 20-24 is a huge coup.

Take 1,6,11,18,20,23,24&29 to the draft and trade out 23&24 for future picks on the night unless a player is there we like and won't slide to 29.

The thing about trades is that all parties need to be satisfied. What’s your solution?
No trade

Opt 1.
No trade

Opt 2.
PA picks 13 & 29 for 11
Nth picks 2 & F1 for 10,18,20 & 29

Richmond take 6 picks in 2024
1,2,6,13,23, and 24

2025 we have RFC F1 & Nth F1

I’d rather option 1 - don’t trade

No kidding, but the fact that clubs have been able to swap picks for a week or 2 now and nothing has happened, despite some seemingly simple deals that could have been ticked off, I believe there is a more substantial deal being hashed out that will only be put into play on draft night once clubs can see how the draft is playing out and they get a clearer idea on whether the player they want will be available.
They have until this coming Friday to agree on a pick swap. It’s like trade week, everything will be done just before the bell sounds imo. It’s just the way of List Managers

I don't believe we're as sold on FOS as posters think to the point where we must trade up to 2 to get him.
Hmm, the fact that we have been talking to GWS, Port and Norf doesn’t ring any bells? Seriously! We are clearly after pick 2 if we can get it at a price Blair is happy with.

I doubt it will be done before draft night. Pick swaps can be declared prior to Richmond going on the clock @ pick 1 on the 20th.

You may be right and nothing may involve us until the night, but the good thing is, if 2 is still in play we should know soon.

We 99% know who we’re taking at 1. So really pick 2 is already upon us.

Anything involving 2 needs to happen before the night. There will complication enough without being put under the pump in the first five minutes.

Trades for 2 have to be sorted beforehand

I get that mate but failing to see how we win a trade without 6 and lolnorf agreeing to a trade
They’ve clearly set their price which Blair couldn’t meet with what we have, without giving up 6. Why do you think it now involves other clubs? Because we need them to satisfy Norf, and not give away what we don’t want to lose.

I just can’t see the advantage in trading our picks apart from #24 for a first rounder next year.
Seems to me pick #6 is going to give us one of Smith, Smilie or Langford.
#10 and 11 will likely give us two of Lindsay, Travaglia , Berry or Shannahan . Reid and Armstrong may also be there.
Sounds good to me.
Would have to be an extraordinary offer to give up those options
i know. Why swap picks if u don't need to. Unless of course u want to trade out of a very strong draft when u really need to bring in multiple talent to fill list hole/needs.

I don’t think Gerryn gets past Sydney @19 and 22.

Freo @14 no
Port @13 unlikely
GWS @15,16,21 I wouldn’t have thought so. But they are light on in the ruck. I don’t know if they would take a WA boy to sydney though.
West coast @12 I would say prefer Allen to be there
Bulldogs @17 no

So I think pick 18 would be perfect for Gerryn.
Why would Sydney take Gerryn?
