If we've got 6, 10 & 11 we get 3 of those players I listed.

If we traded for pick 2 to get FOS, then we only get 1 of them.

Given the lack of quality and depth on our list I'd much rather the approach where we add quality & depth to the list, while we have the draft hand that we do.

But we get Greeves/whoever next year. You don’t just get to ignore next years pick cos it doesn’t suit your narrative.

You get FOS + Lindsay/whoever at 10/11 because we still own one of those picks in your trade, plus next years pick.

His WAFL seniors form was underwhelming. Davis looked a lot better at senior level and won’t go inside the top 40. Suggest you be careful saying it’s a stupid take as confident I would know better than you

Arrogant, in all your posts. That big ego of yours is clouding your judgement. Not much you post gives any indication you know anything, but this site gives you a platform to believe you do

They conceded 2550 points. This potentially means their close losses were lucky to be close. I would have to review their season but if they had a soft draw and got teams at the right time, it could be a whole lot worse next year.

On the other hand, we copped Hawthorn twice in the second half of the year.

We got St Kilda and West Coast when our list had been smashed with injuries. Carlton just beat us when we lost Prestia, Gibcus and Young in the same game.
North conceded 410 points in the last 3 games as they tried to get their % below ours in the hope that we'd beat the Suns in the last game and they could claim pick 1. Over that 3 game stretch they managed to drop just under 3% but unfortunately for them we sucked more than they did.

Did you want to list those 5 games or ignore the fact they were

Dees - 3 points
Pies - 1
WCE (in Tassie) - 5
Blues (in 2nd half of year) - 19
Dogs - 17

They also only just beat us(13 points), GC in melb (4), wce (in Perth by 9) and got pumped by dogs by 96 points in 2nd game.

They’ve also sold two home games to WA. So they’ll have 2 less home games then rest of comp.
Not ignoring anything.

I'm just saying that I'm not as sold on North being shit again in 2025 as others seem to be.

North wants either 6 & 10 or 6 & 11 for 2 and F1. No way would I be happy giving up those 2 picks for FOS. I'd rather 3 of Smith Smille Reid Langford Armstrong Allan Travaglia Shanahan Lindsay Hotton.
We remain diametrically opposed. I'd do 6 and 11 for 2 and F1.
Understand I'm likely in the minority.

Im thinking if #10 for #13 + #29 is available that would be a great result for Richmond and we should take that deal
I feel we get the same player we intend to if we have no interest in Travaglia and Allan which i dont believe we have
Port - Travaglia
Eagles - Allan
Richmond - Reid / Berry / Hotton / Shannahan with #13
I reckon Jack Whitlock is the one we want at that pick.

We'd only be taking one less player. You make it sound like we are giving up the world where it's just one pick, which we will have likely in the top 5 next year.
This notion that North are all of a sudden going to find their mojo and push higher up the ladder is ridiculous.

They are bottom 6 again next year without doubt and more than likely bottom 4.

RT please.
Don't be ridiculous.

I really don't think that 2 & F1 have been offered for 6 & 11, despite reports to the contrary.

We would get an upgrade of 6 > 2 for the pleasure of upgrading 11 > 4.

It just seems too good to be true and if I've learnt anything in this life then something that looks 'too good to be true' it generally is.

It’s zero less players 6 + 11 for 2 +F1 is still 2 picks for 2 picks. One is just 12 months later and likely top 5.

Next years draft isn’t shit or shallow it’s just unknown and unlikely to have depth of 20-50 this draft has, but Greeves, sharp, duursma, Rodriguez all look good, some others will find another level in 25 like Langford and Tauru did this year.

I think it has or will be. North were willing to part with F1 for pick 13 on its own.
11 is an upgrade on that and they don't want to be taking Tauru at pick 2.
They also need to fill list spots.

Wouldn't it be grand if we get pick 1 again next year after winning the flag.😎

I would pass if it involves pick 6.

but if somehow, someway they get desperate and we can do 10/11 + 20 for example we would be crazy not to.

not sure why they would do a deal like that but you never know!
10/11 + 20 + Louie Meehan + Cumbo for 2

North's F1 has to be on the market but they won't get a bite for it under 16, even that's not a gimmie. They might not get a bite until 19. Which would be the reason why they need to offer it, as it entices the Tigers to move pick 6.

If that trade has been offered, and I'm not saying it hasn't, I just doubt it because it's weighed so heavily in our favour, then why hasn't Blair jumped?

There's not a reason that I can think of, it doesn't cost us anything in draft capital, it enhances it. We don't lose any picks and improve 6 to 2 this year and 11 to 4 next year.

Land of the bloody giants
Wtf is this obsession with us taking so many talls? Have I missed a memo somewhere or something? Yeah we need a developing key forward but f*** me.

Yeah screams of taking pot shots hoping one might be decent than targeting one and backing them in for the role.
