Definitely need more key forwards.

To early to tell but Im actually excited by Campbell Gray. From the games i saw he showed a bit, marked well and kicked goals.

Fawcett got to give him a full year to show us what he's got. Seems good overhead but has hardly played any games in the reserves so lets hold off on writing him off.

Agree Kosi will always be a fill gap (depth) which every team has.

I agree Gray and Fawcett need some time but we've got to be realistic that they're highly unlikely to work out long term. Even if they do become serviceable, I don't think they're going to have the ceiling and pedigree to lead a forward line for a premiership tilt.

As for Kosi, he's just lucky he has a contract otherwise he'd have been delisted on 2024 form.

you're against drafting another kpf because pick 43 fawcett is on the list with a bunch of msd hail mary's, thats ****in inspired thinking.
He would be the same nuff saying Carlton can't win a flag with McKay 😂

We've barely got any VFL competent KPFs on the list let alone one that we can be confident that will stand up in finals.

Im sure we have 2-4 KPF that we rate on our board and we will stick to our rankings on their spots
Our priority this draft will be our midfield and im thinking we will go 4-2 or 5-1 and trade out 2 selections either to move into F1 selections we rate as being top 6/7 next year or 1 into next year and 1 to move up this draft for a player we rate
At 10/11 I am prettt confident we're taking Armstrong, Shanahan or J Whitlock.

Reading through the lines, I actually think it's J Whitlock we're interested in which is why we might be entertaining splitting one of the picks for 13 with port or 15 with GWS. 11 for Whitlock does feel a stretch but he could be gone by 18.

You've cherry picked our Ruck "success" trades. Maric and Simmons both had 1 great year and 2 ok years. Stafford had 2 or 3 good years. Nank 3 - 4 sevicable to good years. In the previous 30 years we've traded and cheaply drafted in 5 x as many rucks who were busts. Hampson cost 2 x 2nd rounders and I don't think he played 1 decent game.

We've got the perfect draft hand to fill every line. For so many years we've only had 1 top 25 pick so we always took a mid or bloody hbf. If we take a Dodson with one of our last picks he gets a perfect run up of 3 years development in the magoos while Nank deteriorates and Samson's contract evaporates. In that time him and our incoming batch of mids will develop beautiful synchronicity where they can read each other and know what each other's thinking instinctively. It's about time we paid the price and developed a 10 + year ruck instead of taking dregs. I'm sick of watching Nank get outrucked by any and every ruck.

We deserve to see our mids get 1st use for a change.
I dare you to watch that 2022 final against Brisbane when Mcinerny went down and an unopposed Nank still kept tapping it down Lachie Neales throat. For too many years our mids have watched blokes like Fyfe, Oliver, Pendlebury, etc. run past their ruck and without breaking stride have it land in their laps. No more budget Naismiths, Knobels, Graham, Browne, Derrickx, Orrin Stephenson, Marsh. We've got 8 picks.... 1 must be used on Ruck. We can afford to skimp on hbf for once.
Unsure where your misinformation comes from.

2 things I knew were wrong without checking....

1. Hampson cost 1 x late rd 2 pick(32) not 2 x 2nd rounders as you falsely claimed. It is a pretty big difference, & tough error to make if not deliberate.

2. In 2024 Nankervis played 20 of 23 matches. Richmond finished the season +6 for average hitouts(AFL 6th), +1.7 hitouts to advantage(AFL 6th), +0.9 Ruck hard ball gets(AFL 5th), amongst rucks Nankervis was AFL 8 for ave disposals, AFL 10 for Contested possessions, AFL 7 for marks, AFL 2 for tackles, AFL 1 for pressure acts, AFL 7 for hitouts. It would be a safe bet if there were differentials available per player he would be elevated in most categories due to his strong defensive work. You are crying you want a 10 year ruck, we have THE MOST SUCCESSFUL ruck in the AFL at our club, he is skipper, has a great finals record & you are trying to talk about him like he is a loser.

You are an idiot.

We don’t rate FOS. Quote I heard is “his attitude doesn’t match his talent” or something to that effect and that he doesn’t have the “Richmond Man” qualities the recruiters look for.

But they drafted Sonsie. Who was known to have attitude problems so I call bullshit. They know that they are kids and they can change otherwise they wouldn’t have touched dusty or Sydney stack or Sonsie.

You'd be a lot more inclined to take a risk on a kid with apparent attitude problems at pick 28 than you would pick 2.

We have lots of 195 mobile forwards but we need a 200cm bull to replace Lynch. I suspect that they have given up on Ryan as a forward. The three year contract to Ryan maybe because they are giving him time to become Nanks replacement.
Someone with height, strength, agility and contested marking.
Contested marks at the right times win big games. A Gray, Bauer, Fawcett or Lefau could be a dangerous foil.

When has it ever been said Richmond believed Dusty had an attitude problem? Francis Jackson is said to have loved him prior to his being drafted.
He didn't have any attitude problems....

i am sure he was known for that. Early on in his career he had plenty of issues as well. Also being labeled as a bad boy etc. never altered Richmond’s opinion and how he is a leader and a player. What I’m getting as is attitude is expected in these young men. Work ethic is a different story. And fos as I’ve been told by plenty of people has a great work ethic

Just watched some more highlights.

IF we end up trading for pick 2 I would not be against taking Draper at 2.

I know highlights and just highlights, but he impressed me far more than FOS did.

Like? Missing 1 training session with Dan Connors?

Better words could not have been said. Nank has been a star at Richmond.

Has won/saved games for the Tigers in BIG finals games, an under rated absolute star !!

Mate you’re acting as if I’m hating on dusty 😂 relax I have enough memorabilia to know I love the guy.
But there was that, the chopsticks, the snorting gesture etc I don’t care you’re going far from the point I’m trying to prove. All I’m saying is Richmond will not care about some attitude problem. They have proven time and time and time again. These kids come to Richmond and become leaders

The chopstick thing wasn't true yeah? The girl made it up. Snorting gesture, wow. You said early on in his career he had plenty of issues. I'm just asking what they were cos I only recall one.

Of course they'd care if the bloke they were onsidering with pick 1 had an attitude problem 🤦🏻

I thought it was true??? I didn’t know it wasn’t??? I just remember lots of calls about him being a bad boy. But nothing came close to half the stuff say degoey did?

But I’m not worried about fos. He’s talented we should take him. He doesn’t have poor work ethic he isn’t Ben Simmons. That’s what concerns me. Boys will be boys. I don’t care if any of them had trouble as long as it isn’t illegal, I mean marlion had a successful 91 games. FOS is just a country kid

I think the rumour is that he is a flight risk to the Crows as they build to finals in the next 2 years

I feel like they would have ages ago too. Like why would they have trialed him in the vfl?

100%

Finn has crazy work ethic and I’ve been told by people close to him. Now I lived in koroit but I don’t know his family. So I asked people who know him and that’s what I got told. From what I’ve seen he’s just 100% a country kid.
