They’re just not worth taking this early. Trade for them when they’re 24 or 25

Ryan gets a bad wrap has come into a side on the decline. Too early to call
Ryan is useless and Dodson will be ready to go in 3 - 5 years which will be perfect. The best rucks are drafted and now is the time whilst we have the capital.

We need to get the best kids to rock up late to their other club draft interviews and act unprofessionally like fart and yawning so they slide to our picks
Smillie saying he'd be the best choice for #1 coz he's a coaches dream would be up there 😁

Oldest trick in the book. Clubs can diss this out these days

And if you do that see ya later

Cadman was the back up plan, but it seems like that by the time the King thing played out with Dimmas move, Cadman had then recommitted in the meantime.

basically the belief is the club felt they were a long way down the road with this until Dimma landed with them.

The question then turns into did we have a plan C.

I did say some were washed up or young.

But plenty of those listed moved in their prime, even if you don’t really rate them, which is fair enough, not all were great moves or moves forced by actions (I.e. fev)

Ottens - 24
Fev - 28
Tarrant - 26
Hall - 24
Cummings - 25
Gehrig - 25
Clarke -25
Dixon - 25
Hogan - 25
Everitt - 29
Vickery - 26
Daniher - 26
McStay - 26
Brown - 27

FWIW I think we will and should take 1 KPF, and I think Armstrong is the best talent, though imo it’s not a huge difference between him and the rest. None of the KPF really stand out and demand to be selected and I don’t think any are close to what cadman produced in his draft year. What I disagree with is the phantoms that have us taking 4 talls (including a ruck), it’s way too many.

Id rather take a Faull in the 20s over Armstrong at 11 and especially at 6. Fix our midfield first as it’s easier to find quality mids than KPF, and in future drafts/trades we can narrow our focus on a KPF.

Similar thoughts. They need 3 to 4 years of development. We can’t develop them all and taking too many list spots.
However, I would take Armstrong @11 not 6 though. And probably Fwd/ruck later if it worked out that way.

Did he actually say that though? Confidence isn’t a bad thing though …. If anything we need more confident players in our team
According to Fox Footy he did. I reckon it's great. Very funny.

I heard him say something like this in a radio interview I think. He mentioned he would be the perfect person to bring into any team because he's a caring person. I think it's good that he's confident. You have to be confident to be an a grader. It's a bit counter cultural though and more in line with how the Americans talk but he didn't sound like a brash person when he said those things.
