I'm saying, we have 8 list spots, and 1 has to be used on Colina (I wish we didn't, but something tells me that was part of Balta's deal to re-sign with us).

We have 8 picks at the moment. We need to at least trade 1 of them for a future pick or we won't have a pick in the rookie draft to take Colina.

What I'm asking is, if we did 10 for 13 and 29, our total pick hand becomes... 1 6 11 13 18 20 23 24 29. That's 9 picks. Because we only have 8 list spots, does 29 immediately disappear and become unrecoverable at that point? Or does it become unusable UNTIL we trade out an earlier pick?

I think we are on 2 different timelines here.

my plan C was in relation to the point in time when we were chasing King with Cadman as a plan B. The King piece we thought was looking good, Dimma did his thing but by which time plan B (Cadman) had already put pen to paper with GWS.

Not sure we had a plan C at that moment in time hence we have felt a bit light on there.


As for the new / current plan, I would assume one of Whitlock / Armstrong / Shanahan / Faull form parts of plan A, B and C to be honest.

Not suggesting we will take all 4, but that if we don't have plans to trade in for a ready made forward, than odds on 1-2 of those listed above should be ready out on draft night you would think!

It's clearly a changing of the guard, but I'm really interested to see who we use to officially "welcome" the boys on draft night.

Personally, I would love to see us include our recently retiring legends as part of the official handover.

A reminder of a few of the key jumper numbers that will be available:
2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12

Now I'm not sure how people feel about filling some of those big ones straight away (mainly referring to 4, 8 and 9 [I'm not sure myself]) but if we do, how good would it be to get them involved?

How good to see-

• Dusty present #4 to Lalor on the night (Lalor has said if we could select anyone to hand him his jumper it would be Dusty)
• Jack or Richo to present 8 or 12 to the first key forward we select (Armstrong and Shanahan both wore #12 for their CTL clubs)
• Cotch to present the jumper to whoever we take at pick 6 (Jagga wore #9 for VM and #7 for Oakleigh)

Anyway, it's not a big thing, but I reckon under the guidance of a Peggy/ Brendan type arrangement, these things would have happened. It would be a nice touch.

We are not trading pick 6 & 11 for 2 & F1,
Maybe 11 & 18 for pick 2 on the night ?

Sounds like we want to enter the draft with 1, 6, 10, 11....then see what offers come for 18, 20, 23 & 24

Ryan is useless and Dodson will be ready to go in 3 - 5 years which will be perfect. The best rucks are drafted and now is the time whilst we have the capital.

We did draft that 'useless' ruck 4 years ago.
Right now would you say it's been worth it?

That’s stupid talk. We should have started drafting kpf 5 years ago and should always have a couple developing on the list.

When we drafted Jack we still richo and Schultz. If we’d been as delusional back then we’d not have won any flags.

Doesn’t matter though. We will take a key forward. Our list team have learnt their lesson the last two seasons.

A lot of early phantom top 10’s included Murphy Reid in them. Even ones after combine was over. Now a lot have him slipping. Any reason for this?

I could be wrong but I would see him rated in that 5-10 bracket. Now seems in that 10-20 bracket
