**** me I had 25 pages to read and in place of some actual news instead I got:

  • FOS sliding to 6
  • Lalor sliding to 6
  • Twomey linking us to 27 players
  • Someone asking for a direct line to the recruiting department
  • A mock draft where a player gets picked twice
  • Trading our next 13 picks for Pick 2
  • Smillie = Hopper
  • Take Smillie at 1 so some superstar slides to 6
  • Like 4 articles that didn't pertain to us
  • A mock up of Lalor holding that whiteboard which was actually pretty funny
You missed the commentary on Whitlocks neck.

This post has made more sense than anything else I’ve read in here

Don’t dislike Whitlock, but if you want a frame that will put on size and muscle take a look at Sims and Gerreyn.
Sims doesn’t seem to have the quality of JWhitlock and I’m a little bit wary that Gerryn might be a bit overrated as he hasn’t really played against quality opposition in the WA Colts seeing this is a bit of a disaster year for WA

Why do you say this ?

What do you base his lack of tank on
I base it on this . "..But he doesn't move around the ground well enough right now to be a midfielder and needs to use his height to advantage in the air. What Smillie is, and what he could become, are too far apart to be confident he reaches his ceiling."

Thats rubbish , His tank is fine
might be an idea to check his 2klm time rather than ESPN ribbish

Lot of loud voices with outrageous takes that haven’t contributed much in the draft thread in the past 6 months. It feels like they’ve skimmed a few articles, watched a highlight reel, and are now basking in their own echo chamber
I have to ask, what did you expect in a bigfooty draft thread? post after post of leaked news from reliable sources? club recruiters stopping by to open their draft dossier to us? its a bunch of excited dickheads with uninformed, constantly shifting opinions and Morro our lord and saviour.

Really warming to picking up Hynes, in the 20s.
I think he’s possibly got as much upside as any player outside the top dozen.
Most of the good sides have dynamic small/medium forwards who are a nightmare for opposition backs to matchup on.
Hynes could begin his career as a powerful medium forward, and then progress into the midfield.
Pity we didn’t get to see him at the combine, would have loved to know his 20m time

Yep, think a team will go early on him, has something very different going on. Very quick decision maker and makes things happen. Was playing well in one carnival game forward then moves to the midfield and does the same.
See port or gws grabbing him with their first so we would have to move quick if we’re keen.

one thing that I find interesting is hotton not being invited to the first night of the draft by the afl/clubs, yet twomey reckons he's in the teams who hold picks 13-19+ sights

hope we're just not showing our hand so we don't force gws to take them with picks 15/16 instead of pick 21

but if gws were actually planning to take hotton they'd do it at 15/16, but any little mind game to throw teams off is worth it even if nothing comes from it

Hotton butchers the ball, that's why.

I’d like a poll of preferred player at 6 out of:

Jagga
Smillie
Langford

I’m taking Jagga, but think this poll would be a close run thing.

I would say Jagga, but I really think Langford has massive upside.
