Oli is nowhere near GodS ability.

Ablett Snr also played midfield along the way.. he would just take the ball from Oli's grasp... & if he were matched up and if Oli didn't release it, Ablett would just take Oli with the ball into the F50... oli along for a ride.

Lol. Never compared the two on field. Clarry is clearly better.

Yeah definitely not comparing the two and what they've done on or off field. From what I hear GA was a lot worse than Clarry in a number of ways. Just highlighting that some players regardless of age need extra support, even to do simple things.

Yep your right, as was Brereton, and Buddy.

But they both put the game and club ahead of all else, in importance. Commitment.
2022 & 2023 speaks a very different tale of woe.

Totally wasted Yrs in terms of team-mates best years... and the teams best chances of ultimate success.

Wasted all our time and efforts and heartfelt hopes. All while taking, was it $M1.3 P/Yr.

I definitely like Langford.

I also don’t have a problem with a decent young defender, as May is aging and clubs have worked Lever out a bit now. Trainor looks like a very good prospect and played really well against a couple of VFL sides - so he hopefully won’t take 5 years to be ready like Jefferson.

Would just be good if we had 1 more pick to grab a run and carry type for half back/midfield such as Travaglia or Lindsay.

Mids, mids and more mids.

Strong chance at least one of Trac/Oliver is gone end of year, some chance both go. Add on to that the question marks on Kozzy and we'd be negligent not to take two mids.

Yes for Langford,

No for Trainor.

Trainor at our pick would be such an over-reach I reckon. Much rather Hotton, Lindsay, Travaglia or Allen with this pick (if Reid is gone). I'd take Tauru over him too with his athleticism he is far more versatile for the modern game and may even end up as a mid.

Trainor is someone that may still be there late teens to early 20's. I wouldn't be surprised if several other talls go ahead of him. If we can split pick 9 and end up with one of the above smaller players and then a Tall I'd be happy (Shanahan, Trainor, a Whitlock, Barrat or that ruckman Dodson are all late teens or 20 something picks).

Yeah, concussion issue is huge. I also think he might be a little undersized to be a key back and not athletic enough to play on other types. I really think him and Armstrong have only crept up so high due to being a mid dominant draft and them being seen as best at either end.

I would legit take 5 other talls ahead of him. Armstrong, Tauru, Shanahan, Dodson, Jack Whitlock... Might even take Gerreyn, Faull or Barrat ahead of him too.
