We must be watching a different game. Sexton has unlocked massive potential in this role. I see 85+ there where as wilson fist up will struggle to get a decent score this week probably balances out next week against west coast. Just dont see him making more cash that what he is worth now where as sexton has another 100k to go. Ed richards will average way way more than chlosey next few week in this role. Chlosey next 2 r tough to score for wingers so he will struggle in my opinion. After watching ed i am a big believer in his play and he excelled against a tough hard to score against team. I can see upside of 10 points plus each next few weeks. Would rather trade reid but that means i cant get the cash to ed which is who i really want now. Everyone to their own. My decisions lately have been making me move in the right direction again so im confident in this play.
I don't mind the move. You theoretically should be bagging more cash and more points from both trades. Sexton and Richards have both proven they have ceilings 20-30 points higher than Wilson and Clohesy.

Agree that both Clohesy and Wilson are both topped out cash wise.

The main counterpoint I would raise is that you are switching two green dots for two more green dots. This probably isn't going to service you well come next week when the byes start. How fit are your bench stocks? If you have 4-6 red dots I would prefer getting rid of two of them for a Sexton + Freijah type trade-in.

3 red dots so i am going to take the risk. 1 is heath, reid and now garcia

You're in pretty good shape then so quite like the trade.

Benefit also being that both Wilson and Clohesy are so highly owned and being played on field that if they have quiet games in the next couple of weeks you could really claw back a fair chunk of points on highly placed teams.

Yeah i get that, i just think you can go other ways about it.
There's always other ways - it can be so team dependent at times though. Especially now! Decisions can have a Bye bias/twist that is more team based than broadly based.

This week I'm thinking of Grundy to Rowan Marshall, and then either ZMerrett or JSteele to JDunkley or ATreloar. Who goes first, Merrett or Steele?

If you must choose between Merrett (rd14) or Steele (Rnd15), it's Steele easily, PROVIDED it also helps your Bye structure. Steele has lower lows and greater injury/body management issues and his run has two tougher teams in three weeks.

He sometimes moves out of the midfield whenever he gets a tag, cant think of anything else. Had the most CBAs on the weekend for the bombers
When he was interviewed a couple of weeks ago, he made reference to part of the strategy getting more midfield time into Caldwell, Perkins and Durham. That appears to be how it is playing out, albeit gradually. It was in reference to a question about he seemed to be spending more time on bench and drifting fwd.

Parish has been a terrible trade in. Ruins trade plans this week. Sheezel stays because of it.

Might change with team announcements but for now my mind is set on:
Parish -> Crisp
Hardeman -> W. Day
119k into next week.

Moves a rookie off field and gets rid of a red dot.
Was going to wait a week on Day. Especially because he is playing Brisbane. I dont want anyone to play/score well against us.
But theres no one else I really want to bring in yet.
I have ptsd from originally having Fisher and Sexton so I'm fading them both.

Both Day and Crisp are out Rnd15 Bye - just check your Bye balance. Crisp is great trade in atm, perfect trade out Rnd 15. Not convinced on Day - price has prbs bottomed out, but still BE of 84. Would like to see the turn is real with the Lions this week at Marvel.

I have no shot at a hat this year ranked 4k roughly. The reason i keep playing is to beat the traders. Thats my motivation now. I just cant fathom loosing to any of them.
You got a lot of work to do mate. Roy is smashing you and Warnie has a decent lead.

I don't get the traders hate personally. Roy particularly is a very good fantasy coach and has been for nearly two decades.

Warnie is a good bloke who has a bit of an 'old head' mentality having been doing fantasy for nearly two decades and can therefore get stuck behind the 8-ball with a name or approach that has been successful in the past. He also never gets to the pointy end because he's the host of the largest Fantasy podcast in Australia and takes the conservative approach to avoid having an awful season rather than what might push him into the top 1% each year.

Calvin is a larrikin who doesn't take him self too seriously, gets aggressive with trades and is focussed on fun and family.

Like I get it, maybe they're not super 'cool' but having listened to almost every single fantasy podcast on the market across the past 5+ years, they continue to come to the top in terms of entertainment and being good blokes.

So the year where Essendon are in the chance to make finals they want to sacrifice the form of their best midfielder to give more time to Perkins and Durham... I doubt it.

Essendon have plenty of awful players they can sacrifice before Zach Merrett, Darcy Parish and Dylan Shiel the two obvious ones.

As someone else said.. Merrett still had 86% CBAs, top of the team last week. His lowest CBA's of the season were rounds 4, 6 and 7 where he had 69, 60 and 79% respectively. In each of those weeks one of Caldwell, Setterfild or Stringer had 60-70% which took away some of his ball. Parish, Durham and Perkins have all been relatively consistent throughout the season.

I completely forgot that Sexton and Fisher got DEF DPP so I could move Howes on for one of them and chuck one of them at D6.... interesting

Only flag is that I have way too many Suns players already, would take me up to six.

Will help with the scoring there…. Tough call with the draw of bringing RoMa in..

Don't crit me - just sharing what HE said - OK, I'm paraphrasing a bit, but the clear gist was getting more on-ball time and experience into the ones I mentioned. It was on Kayo after a game. His comments don't mean it's an every game thing.

Also, what they think inside the four walls can be different to what we think about Parish and Shiel - even if I agree with you. Look at the Parish contract.

100% agree with this - still one of my most looked forward to podcasts. Don't always agree with em, but I like they don't take themselves too seriously - as they themselves say - it's a game and it should be fun! They have a generosity of spirit that is often lost on some.

Compared to some of the Twitter Fantasy celebrities that take the game WAY too seriously. One hat finish gets to their head.

I listened to one guy recently who apparently is some sort of expert of AFLW fantasy, and his analysis as a guest was elite and his reasoning skills seemed really adept (Liam I think his name was). Now he may take himself a bit seriously, I don't really know. There is so much info out there though these days.

In a case of good and bad news, scouring the Dogs board they mentioned it was reported that Bevo mentioned yesterday that Richards will likely run with Heeney as a tag type threat. (Putting too much trust in Bevo but need this to be true)

Jordon can’t tag him/Heeney gets restricted which is great as a non owner

Of course this happens the week I want to loop Heeney

Yep, like the move mate. Richards should stay in this role even when Libba comes back. Brought him in last week, hopefully he can provide a few ceiling scores over the next few weeks.
