Massimo easily IMO.

Hawks look for him on switch kicks a lot and he is very hungry to get the ball and rack up those +6's.

Powell I'm not that excited about to be honest. I think the pick has a high chance to backfire. And a low chance to burn if you don't go there
I'm the opposite. Powell easily. Elite juniors numbers, main CBA guy. Fwd status. Massimo is good, very inexperienced. And has been getting bulk points by playing keepings off and chipping around in the back half which is not a good look for hawthorn. Instead of trying to not lose, they need to try win. I think mass is still a 80 guy or so. I think Powell is a 90-95

That's been Hawthorn's game plan for years though.

If you think they're going to stop chip kicking it around the backline I don't know what to say...that's what they do.

A transition backline role in which they want to get the ball into his hands racking up marks is better than an uncertain CBA role. Simpkin only got 31% CBA last week. That will increase as he just came back from concussion. Then again, I just don't rate Powell that highly as others and/or I'm very unsure his current CBA number's hold

Don't think Powell will get 93% CBAs every week, but Simpkin has never been a high CBA guy either, so I imagine that if you increase his CBAs to 65%, Powell still ends up with 60% which is much more than he's ever had. Think there's also every chance Simpkin stays as a high half forward because he looked very good in that role last week.

It’s a tough one because D’Ambrosio is a trade out but Powell potentially might not be. If he’s a 90-95 guy you could live with that at F6 this year

Agreed.

Massimo will still be good but Powell has more upside.

Amon hasn't been getting his usual ball despite playing the same role as Massimo but on the opposite side. I think that will even out in the coming rounds and Massimo ends up at 80ish.

I think I'm cashing out Lazzaro and bringing in my arch nemesis Spud Powell. If him and Flanders started like this last year at 2% ownership I'd be laughing from my new Hilux.

Feels a fine line between getting rooks off field to just collecting a spud farm.

NWM or wait to get Whitfield next week?

NWM priced at 93 is underpriced but only 50/50 whether he ends up Top 6.

Whitfield priced at 102 seems overpriced but seems pretty guaranteed to be Top 6 now.

Pre-teams trade plans.
Viney to Sharp
Buderick to Sheezel

Was always planning to move Viney on at his bye but his 60 has killed his cash generation so he's out now. NWM is the other trade in option (in place of Sheez).

I have NWM but I'd be getting Whitfield. NWM does not tackle at all and will be an easy player to tag due to how outside his game is. Not to mention that Sinclair, Bonner and Stocker will steal points from him.

why are people holding Bonner?

also, not much talk on people picking up duursma
Got too many other thing to do. Bonner still has a low breakeven (37) and will hopefully make some cash this week while its still best 18. If he doesn't perform this week he is out for sure.

What 2 do you pick from these 3 options? I can't decide, I actually need to do all my teams in such a bad state!

Newc > Crouch
Coffield > Massimo
Sexton > Powell
1 & 3 seem like a standard.
General consensus would say 1 & 2 - dependant on the fwd v def lines

1 I’m doing.
2 I have.
3 going Sexton>Sharp. Loading another rook plus cash to go Wines>value mid next week.

Effectively going 3 mid & 1fwd rook structure to 2&2

Good shout actually. Completely missed him. Was weighing up Gallagher and Dempsey but Duursma was really getting up the ground on the weekend.
In case you missed it............................

Dempsey FWD ($349k) or Duursma MID/FWD ($354k) - who will out perform who from here? Both have a -1 BE
