Putting Fantasy aside, He's been better than Laird imo
As a Crows Supporter .....there are 2 versions of Crouch ....both are high stats gatherers

1. The crab version, where he moves the ball sidways consistently .... slows the side down, as well as putting team mates under pressure ....this is the gamestyle that had Crouch unable to get into the side

2. The direct version, where he uses his legs to drive out of the contest ...and kick or handball forward ....this is the gamestyle he displayed in the last 7 games of 2023

He has currently, reverted to version 1 ....great for Fantasy ....terrible for the Crows ball movement

In an interview yesterday, he referred to improving his ability to move the ball fwd ....it was a small comment, however I'm sure the Coaches are banging that drum with him

Lazzaro to Luke Jackson or Ollie Dempsey?

Neither.

If you want a ruck, look at Lloyd Meek
Nah, looking at my F5 spot. Tempted to go Dempsey for the little bit of extra cash he'll make and ship him off in a few weeks, but also have the money to go bigger for someone like a Jackson

Not a fan of any short term trade. You end up getting stuck with them.

That said, there's not alot of other forward options so Jackson may be a hold even when Darcy returns....... who else is there!?

So it'd be Jackson for mine.

Just stumbled on this website - It might be of use for those interested in fishing through stats.
Are there any others out there that people go to? DFS Australia has become my primary go to. DT Live, Fan Footy, Dream Stats others.

Wow! Love it!

Gallagher is priced at 44
Dempsey is priced at 56

Gallagher has the one good score against WC and the rest he's only going 10-12 over his priced at.

Dempsey barring one bad game has gone 16, 36 & 46 over his priced at.

BE only 5 apart. I would think Dempsey would make more money. Gallagher does have 2 pretty weak opponents coming. Dempsey has North but then Brisbane, second of which could slow him down.

I grabbed Dempsey last week when he was priced under 50 points as I think he can hold down F5 & 6 with Sanders if he gets DPP and then focus on other positions.
This is my quandary. Do I grab Flanderers this week or Dempsey (after almost grabbing him last week). Second option means I'm not relying on one of Campell or Wilson once were back to best 22, and I can still bring in Flanders next week. Currently thinking the first option though...

I'm grabbing Flanders this week over cheaper option purely due to having 5 bye players so I'll need the points. If you haven't got many out you can go the cheaper I think.

Stuck this week. Howes to Clohesy locked in but I had a bit of cash left over last week.

I can go Jordan to Flanders easy with cash left over and follow the crowd, or I have just enough to go Jordon to Bont via DPP which pushes Reid on field, best 18 though.

Issue is I don't see great trade options to get the cash for Flanders so I'd probably be fading him for a few weeks, but if you asked me who would score more over the next few weeks I'd probably say Bont, plus Bont is a VC option next 2 weeks.

Leaning towards just locking in Flanders even though he will score less then who knows what happens next week but I'll have 165k to potentially jump up in the mids before a downgrade.

Im thinking of moving mckercher on if he continues to play in the mids. As a back he will score well as do all north players back there as they get there cheap +6 but in the mids everything will be hard earned for him. Dont see him averaging more than 60 when his teams keep getting smashed and should be no different this week. Is it crazy to go early on him?

Bit unsure what to do with Grundy. Not really a fan of using my weekly trades so early to sideways a guy averaging 90's that will only net 10-15 points a week. Whereas the other option is a rookie off field for a premo.

Logic suggests if I can trade around him and he comes back and averages 95ish my overall team is stronger.

The plan was/is Grundy to Marshall or Bont (Jackson into the ruck).

OR Massimo and Jordon out for a 960k player and Keep Grundy.

Players in that bracket I don't have are: Whitfield, Rozee, Dunkley, Brayshaw. Just short of Bont

Need a quality mid rookie to arrive before pushing out guys like McKercher.
Need him for on field for many weeks yet.

Not crazy at all but very team depedant on who you will be fielding elsewhere.

It's a good pick up though. Haven't seen much talk around of McKercher totally switching roles. 8 marks, 6 and 6 marks first 3 weeks. 0 on the weekend. Won't be any more cheap stuff in that new role if he keeps playing. I can easily see the 74 avg being more like 60 from here.

His BE is only 38 regardless (so has +50k in him either way) and most would have many other options to cash out that carry less risk to burn you (Jordon, etc). If he's your best option to go you're risking the role going back to what it was. Fair gamble

Only Heeney, Jordan and Roberts on bye.

Forward line is otherwise Heeney, Powell, Billings (out this week), Jordan (out next week), Reid, Wilson, Campbell, Cadman, Burgess.

For me it would mean bringing sharp on field which is like much better than mckerchers new role. Roberts/sanders/sharp will average more from here on i reckon and i dont see mckercher going up anywhere near the others. JHF and wardlaw first year is what i see in mckercher and neither average more than 60 in the mids.

Im having another look this week but if he's in the same role he's going for me too next week

Massimo and Mckercher to a rook (Graham?) and Gulden my most likely trades for next week

Yep that sounds good if McKercher is only benchfodder to you i think he's ok to cut loose (ideally hold for atleast 1 more week and squeeze out a few more $$ if you can though!).
I've been running all 4 (roberts/mckercher/sharp/sanders) so I'd need to upgrade if replacing them.

Thinking ahead. I wanna fix a red dot next week (assume Clark/Thomas is) so I'll look at Williams to a bowes if he goes well again, then fix a red dot to Graham

Week after, daicos after he plays port in for Massimo

Prioritise cash gen, red dots whilst also getting some points
If you're referring to Jhye, they might give him a rest but I reckon he'll be back in quick. They love him.
