Weird. I can't recall who it was but someone was melting fabulously a few years back for hours during the draft as a few players we took didn't have a draft vid on YouTube. I actually felt concerned for them it was that weird and bad.

Didn't see much commentary from you about their pathetic posting????

Said the other day I didn’t mind the club taking the risk this draft on a couple of talls, so hopefully at least one comes on.

Slight concern I do have is with drafting the 3 taller players, plus only Doedee (injured anyway) and Ryan bought in during the trade period, we could get a bit thin in the middle (and/or smaller players) if we strike a couple of injuries, especially with Will missing half the year.

club probably thought marshall and ashcroft next year makes height a priority in this draft

I wonder... going with 2 3rd tall forward types in Morris and Lloyd if that puts any pressure on Cam Rayner or maybe we're hoping Cam does a lot more time through the midfield in 2024.

Lohmann playing as Wing is now a certainty with he's running ability feel Rayner showed a lot when giving sperts in the middle get him to work with Neale Dunks and Suitcase over the summer and work on he's endurance Black is around too

Zak honestly could be anything. Would probably prefer him as a ruck as I think he could grow towards 200cm. Is fairly good at stoppages and clearance work. Athletic profile is cooked.

between lyons, tunstill and the capacity to shuffle magnets to get berry or zorko into the middle, i think we should be OK until ashcroft is ready to return

i also think bailey could be a full time mid if required, and would be pretty exciting if his game against sydney this year is anything to go by

I know it’s just Photos but I have seen some Insta photos of Cam and he looks very fit, some extra time in the middle could be on the cards.

If there’s one thing we all learnt this year it’s that the game is moving towards having more Jack Gunston types.

In all seriousness, picking this late in the draft is very hit and miss. Let’s hope we can get at least 1 of our picks to become a consistent player in the team. I’d see that as a win given where our picks fell.

They were both 2nd round picks it's not 'late in the draft'.

After Carter, am I correct in saying we still have 1 more senior list spot if we want it? I can't remember. So could pre-empt the Rookie draft and grab van Rooyen or someone else late. We will see.

I wouldn't mind our last spot going to the best mature aged midfielder of the delisted free agents or state league player, one more depth midfielder would be good IMO.

Can not think of a name off the top of my head that would fit the bill right now though.

Yeah I was more talking about a bit of mid/small depth for next year, given I think our best chance of a flag with this list comes within the next 24 months, before we move from the Gabba and things get harder. I don’t wanna “waste” one of those years being exposed for depth in a certain position.

As others have said though maybe we’ve identified that it’s time Zac and Cam step up in there and add to that depth that we may need.
