The open training dates were announced on the club website on the 9th of December. There are two remaining dates. Wednesday 15th Jan and Wednesday 22nd Jan. Training begins at 9:15 am on both days.

Is it me or has the club purposely been less interactive with the fan base this year. No photos of their training sessions and less interviews with the new draftees. Maybe I'm wrong but I wonder if they are reacting to how Kern was booed and the criticism he and the club have been levied by the fan base. Any opinions?

Yep, probably for one, maybe two games. Always starts the season well.

Then, as you say, he can not stop himself from playing "not to lose".

Year after year, and the same coach underlings will continue to do their thing, protecting their jobs!

It's a harder program this year though, and very poor financially due to who and where and when we play, so I am hopeful the higher-ups will insist on an entertaining gameplan, not bombing into the 50 unless necessary.

Rome Burgoyne is signed up to the Port Maggies and is doing pre-season with the Power along with McLennon, Watkins and Lai. When I went to the open training session there was another young guy also training with the Power. I didn't recognize him but he could have been Louie Montgomery. Ollie Francou was not training with them that day.

Good pick up.

Now I think about it, Rome B is actually training with us, and has signed with the Magpies, similar to Watkins.

Haven't heard anything about Monty.
Or Francou.

It’ll be a great to see the magpies this year, quite a few father sons, with other draftees I think we have a really balanced side. Quietly confident in making finals.
