Is it me or has the club purposely been less interactive with the fan base this year. No photos of their training sessions and less interviews with the new draftees. Maybe I'm wrong but I wonder if they are reacting to how Kern was booed and the criticism he and the club have been levied by the fan base. Any opinions?
Think the club is in damage control. They don't want to expose the new recruits to disenfranchised supporters.

Bet the new game style is 60m long bombs onto Georgiades head rather than Dixons.

"We wen't back to the drawing board"

I bet by the end of the preseason, at some point we'll hear the standard info from the club that they say EVERY year, there was some club that did something and was successful, so we're going to copy what they did. Usually we do it based on the premiers, but this year has a Hawthorn feel about it.

Such an "always the bridesmaid, never the bride" mentality.

This season would've been a perfect opportunity to unveil Carr, especially with Dixon and Houston moving on, I'd be much more interested in this pre season than what we got atm.

The AGM was definitely about emulating the Lions success. The message was that Fagan did it so Ken will too with a bit more luck. And if only the Swans played against us like they did against the Lions - what could have been. Totally delusional.

Yeah if the dog didn’t stop in the middle of the road for a piss he’d would’ve got run over.

Worrying about the opposition's performance and wishing they didn't turn up is clear loser mentality.
The funniest thing about it is that it wasnt even a GF.

So its basically aw if they played badly we could have been absolutely spanked by Brisbane instead of them?

We would have been thumped by Brisbane in the GF if we made it.

We would have lost by more than what Sydney did.

We all saw what they did to us earlier in the season at home.

I actually can't believe Koch and the clubs takeaway from our finals series was "if Sydney just could've shat the bed with us like they did against the Lions"

Honestly, what other professional sporting organisation on earth thinks like that.....openly! Just so much wrong with that statement.

If that isn't the reddest of red flags to Tredders and George I simply don't know what is.

At first it could have been a joke but the fact that Koch has brought it up several times now implies that there is belief within the club that what he said is true

Bottom line is they can’t do a lot no matter what they might think personally.
Until it’s a member’s run club it’s all pointless.

I love how we are so obsessed with copying the last year's premier. How many sides actually go back to back? The concept that you copy what was successful is so flawed. You need to be working towards what YOU think will be successful in the future, not what was.

So we recommence training on the [emoji[emoji6][emoji6]]th, I’d have thought tomorrow at the latest. These lads seem to have a lot of time off.

Just talked about the thrill of lining up next to the big 3 at training and preparing for the season with the Magpies. Nothing much in it.

Josh talked up Ken, how hard it is to get up around the top 4 year after year.
